bottle... really dark red, almost in between sangria and red wine... the aroma is STRONG, olives and blue cheese at first, as it settles and opens up you are patiently awarded with a more balanced combination of raspberries, light cheese and hay, its perfect... the taste is really really good, but you can tell its fresh, in time this will settle down perfectly and live up to its older relatives

Felt a need to get drunk so I popped this one. 0.75l Bottle all by myself. First beer of the day. Edit: Not a good beer to get drunk on; stomachburn/won’t be drinking for the rest of the evening Didn’t even finish the bottle. Aroma: Weak-ish smell of fruitlambic / raspberry Head: Difficulty getting a head on this despite a pouring from a height large bubbles getting sparser and dissipating completely within 30 sec 2 min after the pour head is completely gone by now Palate: little carbonation;small bubbles;drinkable;decent mouthfeel w weak carbonation. Thin-ish mouthfeel. Not as dry as most beers from this style Taste: Overwhelming acidity, bites your throat as you swallow it and you even feel it on your lips afterwards (and in your stomach) in a way you would with lemon juice;it completely dominates the fruit and leaves not much room for anything else. Any finer components typical for the taste of a good lambic blend that you would have expected to be there are not felt due to this or are simply plain lacking. Gets even more sour;despite having opened the bottle some 12-13 min ago An unpleasant, overwhelming sourness completely domniates the fruit (and every/anything else?) and makes this tough to drink. Lacking in delicacy, depth and complexity when it comes to taste. Save for the medium to weakish raspberry taste that is taking the back seat due to the acidity and can never be felt properly. There is just not much more to it. Undelightful in every way. Gerenally speaking: Straightforward;lacking complexity. One dimensional. Uneventful. Marginally unpleasant. And gets even more unpleasant with further pours Modestly a better crafted beer than most yet dull and uninspiring. Does not integrate the taste of (old/new) lambic has to offer with the fruit well(or at all. ) Most merit is due to the way raspberries happen to taste in general and to the fact that it’s beer. Only other plus (which is not really a plus cause it would prove to be a deficit in time ...) is the decent mouthfeel partly due to weak(/lacking) Co2 (most belgian beers are simply overcarbonated esp when fresh). Won’t even be opening the recent batch of hommage (PM me!) Like a slightly more fresh and refined, yet more acidic raspberry version of a crossover between 6yo old de cam kriek regular 3f kriek but less intense in terms of fruit when comparing to the latter(fresh) esp when age is taken into account. Probably wouldn’t have guessed this is The framboos if tasted blindly. (Though it does taste typically 3F in a way). Essentially there is nothing that would distinguish this from an off the self 3F. AS it warmed: woody notes become more noticeable. And a feint cardboard/grain touch reminiscent to the 3F OG(where it’s much more present) Wonder how the other batches of Framboos would compare

2014 Vintage. Pour hazy ruby with no head. Very fruity aroma: raspberries /raspberry jam, barnyard and some hints of vinegar. Taste is sour, raspberries with medium and soft carbonation. THis is truly a well balanced and complex fruit lambic. Very tasty.

Bottled. Pours hazy red with a small pink head. Aroma of barnyard, raspberries, wood notes and vinegar. Slightly sweet flavor that ends up dry and tart. Light to medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carb. A great fruit Lambic. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

0,75 l flaske delt på RBHD-treff på Fridtjoffen april 2015. Vintage 2014. Uklar burgunderrød kropp uten hode. God gjæret bringebær-aroma med litt vanilje og grapefrukt. God fruktsyre og veldig god munnfylde. Kanskje litt flat og endimensjonal, men kjempegod.

Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 14.04.15. 2014-vintage. Pale red. No head. Aroma of lambic and sour cherries and raspberries. Almost no carbonation. One-dimensional rather than complex.

Shared bottle at RBHD tasting. Pours hazy reddish with a tiny white head. Aroma is strong meaty raspberries, inviting. Taste is moderate tarty raspberries, crisp and dry mouthfeel, almost flat carbonated, could do with more co2,

Very sour and fruity nose. The beer starts very sour. Lots of sour strawberries with a nice tart sourish body. Great fruit. Tart sourish and fruity. Horse-blanket sourness in the end. Great fruity sour stuff!
