4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Opened in celebration of the 2012 Presidential Election, November 6 with my wonderful wife. Ive been hanging on to this bottle for roughly 3 years now. 2007 vintage is marked on the bottle. Cork comes out with a faint pop, pours a hazy golden cherry color with fine carbonation and a thin ring of head. Immediate aroma of acetic acid, funky cheese and sour cherry. The power of the aroma is nearly overwhelming. Barnyard and must is all over the nose. I cant believe how tart this is even with the age. The flavor is less intense than the aroma, with a dry sweet blend of cherry and dried grass. Flavor profile transitions from sweet to bitter cheese and yeasty biscuit, but incredibly complex. Undertones of old oak wood, wheat, peppercorn, rosemary and lemon zest. The finish is light and dry with a tingly carbonation sting on the palate. Overall a delightful drinking experience, the unbalanced aroma dinged it in my book, but the complexity gives it points. Well worth the wait, now we’ll have to see what the bugs in this beer do to my bowels tomorrow morning...

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
2013 vintage bottled shared at my wedding on 9/12/15. Pour was a dark pink, light amber hues, medium fizzy head that faded to a ring...leaving some fine lace. Aromas are very raspberry forward. Deep funk too!! Great balanced of the breads/yeast to the light caramel malt...to the medium funk...to the fruit presence. Taste is even better! Loads and loads of raspberry funk...medium tartness...light cherry skin. Moving into yogurt, light cheese and oak through the mid-palate. Outstanding! Finishes with a great balance between the tart and the funk. Vinous notes creep into the backend...light malt presence gives the mouthfeel a moderate stickiness and light sweetness. Very impressed with this beer and would love to try again!!

Bags of succulent raspberries, huge amounts of funk, good acidic notes, straight up awesome drinkability. Super clean. Easily the best fruit beer I have ever had. Amazingly complex. Savior every sip. Thanks!

So happy to have this beer. Drank alongside some other awesome beers, including a Framboos. Brownish-orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some nice raspberry notes as well as some barnyard funk and caramel malt. The flavor is full of raspberry and cherry notes with a medium level of sourness, some caramel and toffee. There is also some funk, but the flavor starts to get a bit medicinal with some bandaid notes as I drink more of it. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by Tony at RBAG, thanks man! Appearance is a hazy pink with lots of frothy head. Aroma is plenty of hose shit, with hints of raspberries and other tart fruit. Taste is acidic up front, followed by funk and tart fruit, finishes slight sour and somewhat crisp. Wow, this was great, lots of fruit character mixed in with plenty of funk, tons of complexity, just great stuff.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle of 75 cl at In De Verzekering Tegen De Grote Dorst. Traditional framboise with sour cherries added, reminding conceptually of Cantillon’s Rosé de Gambrinus, but with more emphasis on the raspberries. Thin, loose, off-white bubbly head, murky pinkish deep fuchsia colour with brownish hue. Aroma has a ton of fresh fruit, red raspberries of course, but the sour cherries are equally noticeable; lemon, celery, tomato juice almost like in a Bloody Mary, blue grape peel, old sherry, raspberry vinegar, wet wood. Very rich sour fruit flavour, a lot of red raspberry with a beautiful aromatic quality, very lightly sweet, paired with a deeper, more tangy sour cherry tartness and a ton of esters, tomato juice again, fruit yoghurt without the sugar, crisp and astringently acid, soapy wheat, complex sherryish wood finish with ongoing acidity and finely tingling carbo, cherry stone astringency, leather, extremely dry in the end. Expensive, but very recommended if you are into uncompromizing fruit lambics, a worthy tribute to the late Gaston Debelder indeed.

Bottle, shared at RBAG 2015, received in trade from JulienHuxley-- thanks! Pinkish orange, fresh clean aroma and palate of raspberries and funk, medicinal undertones, bandaid and hints of wintergreen. Wow. Unexpectedly complex. Very very compelling.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Red brown again, like framboos. Smells like a jar of Vaseline, others say band aid, dry wood. Cherry outshines raspberry in the flavor, tart and dry. Flavor great, smell not so much.

Sticks on the nose. The 5% cherry really comes through. Sweet, sour, hay, perfume. Nice!
