4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Opened in celebration of the 2012 Presidential Election, November 6 with my wonderful wife. Ive been hanging on to this bottle for roughly 3 years now. 2007 vintage is marked on the bottle. Cork comes out with a faint pop, pours a hazy golden cherry color with fine carbonation and a thin ring of head. Immediate aroma of acetic acid, funky cheese and sour cherry. The power of the aroma is nearly overwhelming. Barnyard and must is all over the nose. I cant believe how tart this is even with the age. The flavor is less intense than the aroma, with a dry sweet blend of cherry and dried grass. Flavor profile transitions from sweet to bitter cheese and yeasty biscuit, but incredibly complex. Undertones of old oak wood, wheat, peppercorn, rosemary and lemon zest. The finish is light and dry with a tingly carbonation sting on the palate. Overall a delightful drinking experience, the unbalanced aroma dinged it in my book, but the complexity gives it points. Well worth the wait, now we’ll have to see what the bugs in this beer do to my bowels tomorrow morning...

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
20.04.2013, 0,75l bottle sampled with ClubGonzo, ej & OleR @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas:
Fyldig fruktig lukt med preg av raude syrlige bær, eddik, maling, buljong, gras. Frisk lett syrlig fruktig smak med preg av eplecidereddik, sure raude bær, syregras, maling, sitron. Middels bitterhet som set litt. God, men langt frå å vere noke fantastiske greier.

S: Sour Cherries, Tart Raspberries

Overall, the sugary taste from the raspberries is long gone and now almost a tomato flavor...good but on the down slope.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rated from beer log during 2009 Belgium trip... Sweet raspberry aroma, served in a champagne glass... Attractive magenta to dark red in color... Flavor is tart and sweet, more tart than sweet, refreshing and crisp, but the palate is what sets it apart... Sour, which stays long after sipping and is amazingly powerful... Great for a lambic, although it cost me 25 euro
