Deep red coloured. Has a pink head, mostly lasting. Heavy aroma, cherries, almonds, faint cinnamon. Dry notes too. Flavor starts without any sweetness. Moderate acid, light bitter finish. Heavy astringent. Soft carbonation.

Bottle traded by JtClockwork. Aroma is great fake cherry pie filling with a hint of vinegar. Pours cartoonishly red with a nice filmy head. Taste is a little unexpected. A light bready opening with a huge cherry pie finish. Not so much tart as fruity. Thankfully by not being tart, it doesn’t taste like a sugar bomb. A pleasant kriek but not up to the 3F standard IMO.

Bottle at Gollem in Antwerp. Dark, deep crimson verging on purple. Huge cherry nose, dust, some leather, plus cherry skins and pips. big cherry flavor with leather and yogurt. Not much sourness, just nice fruit. No complexity whatsoever. A tasty beer, but nowhere near as good as their regular kriek. Kind of a joke at this high price. Just made to sell expensively to beer geeks?

Mörkt rubinröd. Riktigt härlig doft och härliga kirschbär. Balanserad frisk syra och som gör skäl för namnet intense. Kan bli kul med några års lagring

Bottle through recent trade opened with little action on the cork. Pour has a plumb purple color and a ring of pink head on the glass. Aroma has loads of earthy fresh cherry but no big sweetness, musty yeast, light sourness, leather, cherry skins, wet oak, and cherry pits. Amazing how the cherry steals the show but does not do it through brut force. Mouth feel is medium light and the carbonation is not very strong but it is there. Flavor again has a bold fruit side, such a nice sour side, cherry skin bitterness, and it does work it out to the dry side with a nice lingering pucker. There are a lot of the qualities I love in other beers from this brewer and it shares the toungue smacking sour side mixed into such well done wood. I am not generally a fan of cherry but once again I am incredibly impressed!

Bottled. Deep dark red coloured. Reddish white dense head. Aroma: Immense cherries, sweetness, some sourness and grape. Flavour: Sour cherries, grape, citrus, some wood. Medium to full bodied. Ends grapy and sourish with a nice touch of cherries. Not the worst beer of my now 9000 tasted. Thx. yespr for this.

Countbeer (5337) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 3, 2013
Bottle: Served in a old Belle Vue Gueuze glass: Thanks to Tinus for this bottle: Beautiful red pour. Beautiful deep dark red colored beer with a lively beautiful dark pink red colored foamy head. Disappears right away and leaves a beautiful headless beer. Wow! The aroma is a mix of cherries, wood, leather, some yeast, some shoebox, some wood, not much else but the cherries do the work, every way! :-) Flavour is a dry mix of cherries, sour, wood, wild yeast, sour cherry candy, some herbs, yoghurt, dry sour, some herbs and something light light malty. Aftertaste is dry, sour, lot of cherries, some yoghurt tones, tiny hint of something woody and some crispy cherry drenched herbs. Low to medium carbo, medium to full body, creamy light dry mouthfeel and a light creamy texture. Delicious beer! Well done! Wish I had liter bags of this stuff.
