375ml bottle into tall Rastal flute. Pours a dark cherry colour, with pink coloured head, which dies down to a lacing. Aromas of black cherry, wood, pencil shavings, funky sweat. Taste is soured black cherry, wood, lemon pith bitterness, little bit of blue cheese funkiness, & syrupy sweetness. Not as sour as I was expecting, given the name, but nice & subtle, nonetheless. Light to medium bodied with pleasant soft carbonation, somewhat thin, sticky sweet texture, leading to a dry, ruby red grapefruit-like bitter sour finish. Pleasant enough, but a little too sweet for my liking.

Bottle shared thanks to scotchzi. Pours a plum red with thin pink white lacy head that leaves light lace. Aroma of sour cherry and farm house funk. Taste is smooth earthy cherry, hint of funk, tart back end. Refreshing but intense, dry finish, not over the top though. Yes!

375ml bottle pours a black cherry color with a finger of pink head that leaves a nice ring of lacing near the surface of the glass. Aroma is cherries and red wine. Taste is a sour lemon and cherry tartness with some fruit and malt sweetness finishing dry like a red wine. Medium body with decent carbonation. The cherry is more dominant than I would like, but overall this is still a solid brew.

A: Deep Black Cherry Hue, Passes Almost No Light, Pink Head Ring, Some Lacing S: Tart Cherries, Pie Cherries T: Tart Cherries, Red Plums, Mildly Watery M: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Tart, Mildly Sweet Overall, maybe this bottle needs a couple of years but was not overly impressed given who the brewery is, I would expect more from Drie Fonteinen.

12.7oz bottle, split with caterwaul. Beautiful wine-like dark red color; clear. Thin pink, sort of bubbly head. A bit or two of lace. Big cherry nose... I was smelling cherry syrup as I poured this from 2 feet away. Nice oak in the nose... Big on the black cherry, rather than the sour type. Hint of chocolate in that complex cherry aroma. Taste... Is not as puckering sour as I expected this to be. It’s light to moderate sour, for a kriek, with some syrupy sweetness. Medium body, very light, sort of crisp carbonation. I might have liked a little bit more carbonation. Lightly sticky in the finish, but pretty easy-drinking, still. Very tasty, easy drinking cherry lambic overall

Bottle - Pours deep ruby with no head. Nose is real deep, dark cherries, Ludens lozenges, and just a little tartness. Taste is lots of dark cherry pie filing, lightly tart and sweet, and real dense. Medium-carbonation and medium-bodied. This is a real treat.

Corked half bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen
batch 13-11-2012, bb 13-11-2017

Faithful to its name, it pours an intense ruby color, with small pink head. Deep aroma, plenty of Morello cherries, fruity, woody, sour, a bit funky. Dry but soft mouthfeel, no residual sugars, with a moderate acidity level, sour cherry juice, light tannins, some late astringency.
Lovely, although I preferred other Kriek with a more evident funky character.
