Light hazy golden colour with a white head. Complex aroma and taste made up by a tart fruityness, and hints of fruit, yeast, wood and leather. Light dry and sour finish. Good one...

Bottle... Hazy, glowing, peach-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Holy Brett, Bat Man! Earthy, sour aroma with lots of acidity, wood, saddle bag and horse blanket. The flavor leans just a whisker on the sour side of balance, but the tannic bitterness is sturdy and true. Rough around the edges, no-bones-about-it pungency. Earthy, almost fresh tannins. Low sweetness. Medium to full-bodied and lightly creamy with lively carbonation. Lightly sour, caustic, bitter finish. Cheers to boboski for popping the top on this one!

75 cL bottle, (note: date on the bottle is the wedding day of me and my wife). Pours hazy deep yellow with a lacing white head. Mellow sweat aroma, not too much - just noticeable. Dry flavour but more soft than the blauw but also more acidic. Finish is quite woody, slight dry and sour in a nice blend. Nice

Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, quality tasting @ Papsoe] Average creamy like off-white head that mostly diminished. Light cloudy golden color. Fair display of lacework. Note of citrus, grapefruit juice, hors blanket, spice and pepper, some underlying wheat. Very full bodied with a light dry texture and an average carbonation. Moderated acidic flavor with light sweet notes. Dry and sour finish. 28-09-2007

Bottle. I guess, Geuze will never be a freind of mine. These sour dry champagne like beers will never be my thing.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Sharp, complex Brett nose. Medium body, sharp - yet also delicate and complex - Brett accents. The finish is very dry with even some bitterness showing in between the massive acidity. Still I find this smoother and more subtle than the Blauw version. 280907
