It’s a "I must sit down," beer. Good lambic. Lovely tart redcurrant fruit. Intense. Good farmyard, softer than the Cantillons opened the previous evening. Good sharp fruit. Does take you to another place. 3.8/5.0
Re-rate Heeren van Liederkerke. Lots of character for this style of beer, soft in mouth. Good reddish fruits. Very drinkable because of the character. Ughsmash (4103), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

Poured an almost clear (initially) amber with a short cap of white head. Aroma was rather subtle compared to the Blauw, but was still very well-done.. wet horse blanket upfront paired with a hint of lemon zest.. some dusty barnyard and woodiness make appearances as well. The flavor was more intense than the nose with refreshing vinegar tartness.. well-placed old barn feel to it.. long vinegar and lemony finish, again with some woody accents. Beautiful balance and feel on the palate with a long, drawn-out refreshing finish. Excellent stuff! M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Very compex still, has a bite, and not as smooth. Well aged, very good. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 30, 2007 Bottle from fonefan. Clear light amber body with a large fizzy off-white head-fading. The nose is heavy acidity with mainly lactic acid, lots of lemon, horseblanket and cobwebs. The flavor is moderately sour, lightly sweet with melon, strawberry, lemon, yogurt, apple skins and pithy orange. Medium body is soft with moderate, but gentle carbonation and a lasting, sour, dry end. Fantastic. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 26, 2007 2003. Almost a perfect appearance, certainly much closer to a five than a four, thus the scoring. Orange/amber/peach body, hazy, with a super creamy, thick white head that’s slowly but not fully diminishing. the remaining bubbles form intracate star-shaped patterns that skim the surface, very pretty and highly
unusual. the aroma contains heavy acidic notes of persuasions of many different fruits, though mostly lemon and lesser orange. Sugars are a contrast to
the norm and add a piquant complexity. forward moving, gripping brettanomyces and wild yeasts are stir-crazy and unusual as well. Barnyard scents emerge fully as room temperature is nearing, hay and cobwebs and must and horseblanket all gripping and raw. This is truly an arresting nose, a challenging inhalation each time. Toasted oak is the formation at the central oart of this nose and provides the backbone off of which each other aromatic compound plays. Malt character is light, alcohol is undetectable. So far it’s very nice but it isn’t as captivating or as pleasant a blend as its counterpart, Blauw. In the flavor, an avant-garde, driving brett tartness provides a feeling of jagged edges, the extensions of which contain sugary, tooth-enamel-stripping yeast and acids, moderately to very high sourness, now lightly noticeable alcohol and a dwindling fruit conglomeration. Moderate bitterness surprises and grows with each sip. Finishes acidic with herbal hints and fruit lingering, tartness sticking around and bubbling up for a great while. The mouthfeel is prickly, tannic, soft, lightly but adequately carbonated(more would be too much for the style) and light-medium to medium bodied. This is not as good as Blauw; it’s just not as intriguing a blend. It is still one of the better lambics I’ve had the pleasure of sampling. MPA (515), Nørrebro(formerly Aalborg), Denmark

Raspberries, a little perfume and sweetness in aroma. Lightly sweet flavour, some dry bitterness reminding me of tonic and juniper. I really like this a lot! Thx Engelsmann!
