Drank on a great afternoon sat in 4:20 with the legend Alex and the rest of MesandSim’s stag do. Cheers for the invite our Mes. Poured a murky orange with a short lived white head. Aroma has the classic farmyard licks and sour fruit notes. Very tasty. And the flavour goes on to impress too. Palate is so smooth and drinkable. Thanks Alex for a very special beer.

Sampled at STLWill’s 30th b-day tasting. Pours amber/orange with a patchy off-white head. The aroma has some funk, mild woodiness, funky cheese, and mild sourness. There were more sour related traits than actual sourness. Medium / light body that is between smooth and crisp with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with some creaminess for the style, lactic acid and lemony citric acid. The finish adds some medicinal traits and grapefruit. Glad to be able to try this one - really nice.

13/01/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (750ml bottle). Assaggiata con Federico e Edo, thanks Matt (50belair) for sharing! Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Geuze di intensità straordinaria. Capolavoro irripetibile.

750 ml bottle sampled at STLWill’s 30th birthday party- thanks again! Never thought I’d get to try this. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small bone white head. Aroma of super musty funk, earth, grass, and vegetal notes, oak, and some general sourness. Flavor of sour lemon juice, oak, herbs, salt water, celery, grass, dust, and wheat. Medium-bodied, with high, sharp carbonation and a tart, funky, musty mouthfeel. Really nice.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hopscotch (7269) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 14, 2011
Bottle… This beer rocks!… Murky apricot ale with a small, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention. The ludicrously funky aroma offers up notes of very old cheese, sweaty sock and barnyard. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is tart, bordering on sour, and bready with a good dose of underripe apricot-like acidity and mild lemon-peel bitterness. Finishes tart with light yeasty bitterness. Kudos to Dstructo for sharing this rare old gem!
