Poured a cloudy golden/orange color with a sticky off-white head. The aroma was sour citrus with a huge barny funk and some fresh swee/tsour fruits. Tastes are a lot like the aroma with a prominant green apple taste through-out followed by some sour green and red grapes with a big musty finish. Incredible gueuze I never expected to cross paths with. Huge thanks to Steve (Hopdog) for sharing this!!!

Hazy golden color. Wonderful Gueuze, cellary, cobwebs aroma. Lasting flavor, bitter grapefruit peel, citrus fruits; medium sourness, astringent; then more of the cellar feeling comes in. Excellent.

(Bottle) Pours hazy orange. Fruity citric aroma with tones of fresh broken wood, mould and also some barrel wood. Undertones of bicycle tires, diesel and unripe berries. Medium sour, medium tart and very straight forward on the nose. Sour, acid and very complex flavour with a nice wood balance. A bit citric in the flavour as well with lemon and light grapefruit up front. Perfect carbonation and a tart and dry mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Fantastic and mind-blowing.

Bottle at Akkurat - thanks to Timo for the small taste. Unclear yellow - white head. High gooseberries, light earthy, barnyard, a little forrest-bottom and mould. High dryness in the finish. Very nice.

Orange color, cloudy white head. Sourish, fruity nose, a bit earthy. Fruity, nicely balanced and drinkable gueze. Hints of fruity, sugary notes in the finish. Tasty, mature lambic.

Bottled@Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy orange colour, big white head. Aroma is sour fruits, earth and bigtime sourness. Flavour is really balanced wood, sourness and some dry & sour fruits. Really much wood and sourness in the finish and aftertaste.

Shared with Duff, Ian and Ang. OH MY GOD this is good. 3 Fonteinen with De Cam, it’s a no brainer really isn’t it? Plus at a tad clear of 10 years old it was just about perfect timing. Beautiful cloudy yellow with a brown hue at the edges and a decent white head. Aroma of mellow sandalwood with light peppery notes, a crisp but delicate sourness and some lemon. Barnyard and breadyness are a given. Flavour is utterly stunning. Lemony and acidic but also soft and incredibly balanced. Citrus fest all over the place but remaining lovely and mellow until a hardcore sherbert and acidic finish with a superb lengthy sourness that just goes on and on without ever being over the top. Wonderfully full bodied and juicy. Gloriously full in the mouth. Very very very good stuff and it really doesn’t get any better. It’s one of those beers that you can’t help but feel a little sad when you drain the very last drops from your glass. Even Ian liked it. An unbeatable start to a great holiday.

75cl bottle at Heeren van Liedekercke. Hazy gold/orange with lasting off white head. Beautiful balanced farmyard aroma. Good balance in mouth, fullness, yet lots of lemon acidity. Soft in mouth, almost creamy in mouth, lemon/lime sorbet on end. Very drinkable, "Yum, yum, yum" said Duff. Fresh, creamy and lovely (and this from someone who doesn’t like lambics)

Bottle @ De Heeren Van Liedekercke. This was the first beer we bought in Belgium and remained my favourite for the rest of the trip. This was a wonderful geuze. Assertive and complex, yet soft at the same time. Wonderful earthy barnyard aroma, with some citrus also noticed. Palate is as i said assertive, yet soft, with wonderful tart flavours coming through. Finish is tart and softly sour, with a flavour that seems to go on forever. Probably one of the best beers i will ever try. Delicious.
