Bottle shared by Yespr at RBSG Grand Tasting, 2012. pretty average orange-amber. Nice lemony, dusty, leather aroma. Very leather and dusty flavor. Very funky. Almost smoky, really, lots of dust. Nice controlled sourness. Great.

Thanks to Adam and Jesper for sharing this. Pours a hazy orange color with a tall white head. Very funky on the nose, musty, sweaty, and barnyardy. Lemon zest and a pleasant lactic acidity. The flavor is quite dry with good lactic tartness, citrus zest, and plenty of must, barnyard, and sweat funk aromas. As always with Drie Fonteinen, an excellent gueuze.

Thanks to GT2 at Woodshop in the LBC

Appearance: Pours an amber tinted orange with a tight thin cap of white.

Aroma: Flowery funk, hay, sliced lemon ,light vinegar.

Taste: Bretty funk, citrus tartness, vinegar, dry grapes.

Mouthfeel: Puckering. Lively carbonation that just covers the inside of your mouth from front to back.

Overall: This is the best Geuze I’ve tried from 3F. I enjoyed this way more than the Armand’4 Series too. I was in the right place at the right time at the recent Woodshop tasting, and was given a very generous pour of this.

75cl at Gaasa. Pours deep golden with a white head. Aroma of barnyard and horse blanket with some malt, brett and wheat. Pretty sour, but very refreshing. Some sweetness is noticable when it gets more temperature. Dry, bitter, citric and sour finish and aftertaste. Delicious!

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2014 Bottle @ Bishops Arm Stockholm. I had to fork out a pretty penny to try this one, but fuck it. It pours a hazy golden orange appearance with a medium sized, light tan head. Super funky, incredibly cheesy, parmesan, intensely sour, lemon, moderately oaky, mild vanilla, basement aroma. There is a moderate sourness to the flavor but not what I expected and really just more of a strong acidity. Very funky, barnyard, unripe lemon citrusy, light tangerine, a bit tannic, mild woody, quite acidic flavor. Fairly smooth, dry, funky, lemon finish. Very nice beer but probably a bit young at this point. I tried a 3 Fonteinen Oude Gueze Vintage 2005 two days ago and found it more developed and complex. That being said, this was a real treat to drink. Update: Fuck yeah. Shared by Armin on 7/20/2013. A lot more developed, cheesy, funky beer. Delicious.

Gusher. Big offwhite lasting head. Hazy opaque orange body. Funky citrusy earthy aroma with barnyard notes. Dry-acidic citric wooden barnyard taste with metallic earthy notes. Mid-to-thin body. Sharp mouthfeel. Dry-acidic orangey tropical fruit and earthy metal aftertaste with wooden barnyard notes. The sharp, strong aftertaste really burns in, and feels great. Interesting combination of the hard metal/wood/earth flavour with softer C-hop style flavours. Reminiscent of Oud Beersel. Excellent! (0.75l bottle at Amundsen, Oslo.)
