The first gay geuze // Armand and Tommy (the bottle does say Tommy) // Stopgap rating // bought a bottle of this but not sure about when I will open this, assume it is not soon, may trade it latter on - will give a re-rate when and if I do // some general ideas about the sample had @ GBF 2012 // donít expect to see this one popping up at other festival any time soon or maybe even ever again // quite an impressive list Klaas & Tim // lightly hazy, bright orange touch golden with a big foamy, assertive head even for a 3F // aroma is pure 3F if you know the stuff, 3F barnyard funk, lemons, lambic, spices, fresh oak // taste is once again very 3F actually I think this edges so close to the regular one that this could almost be chalked down to batch variations, there are differences, this is a tad, clearer, more crisp, tad fruitier touch especially in the lemons, barnyard bit tuned down, white pepper back // high champagne carb, higher than regular one // this feels like a variation not something big and new // this is no Blauw or Lente // prefer just the regular one // price and everything here feels more marketing than anything else // he could try a lot way cooler stuff and release those and the price would make a bit more sense // Tomme was involved apparently but this tastes so 3F & they couldnít be bothered to either remember or spell his name correctly // for all I know he could have been hanging out in the bar like Mikkel while this was made // how many beers with the ílastí 3F lambic have there been made? 6 plus bottles of it pure // more common than any other lambic of a given vintage it seems // at least I am glad to see this one available unlike Framboos for which Belgians are apparently not good enough for // it is probably not 3F making this available but the store owner having gotten hold of this in Denmark where all beers go // am I too cynic? do I have the right complaining having had this? // Anyway this beer is nowhere gay enough - hope that the next gay geuze will do better

Bottle, 75 cl. Hazy deep orange with a foamy, lively head. Crisp in aroma as in flavor. Earthy, slightly musty and sour notes of oak, lemon-zest, barnyard, sweaty armpit, grapefruit. Salty palate, very minerally. Bretty and funky flavor, tart yet somehow smooth. Medium body, lively carbonation. Very dry finish. Delightful.

Itís Armand & TommY, on the label, whether you like it or not Gushing to rather small yellowish head over hazy orange-amber beer. Very lambic-like nose, lemon, lemonblossom. Dry, lemony, very outspokenly tart lambicflavour. Just the very lemony flavour is reminiscent of the Tomme Arthur lambic-tries; for the rest, this is 3 Fonteinen. Dry-out effect, real acid-thinning. Not one for the fainthearted. Mind you, the 3F character reigns, and Iím not talking Indianapolis!

75cl at home brought by Olly. Bottle opened with a bang! Typical golden hazy 3F Gueuze colour accompanied with Armands signature Vintage Gueuze aroma that reminds me of digestive biscuits and crispy bacon. Initial taste is balanced but at the end there is a sharp sourness that arrives with a citrus hit. Refreshing and one to share. Could do with some ageing as the Jonge lambic was still quite prominent.

75 cl bottle @ home. Bottled on 17.02.2011
Aroma is sour and tart with lots of earthy notes and grapefruit. Palate is too high on CO2. Flavour is really sour with grapefruit, earthy notes, some peppery spices and hints of orange. Hardcore stuff.
