bootle bigtime thanks to nielsnielsenrakings for the ahab wedding toss courtesy. thar she blows. old notes, consumed around christmas time and just getting around to entering this now bc i am @ moran. aroma pleasant minerally lemon zest, soft cowhide, clean oak. perhaps slightly more acidic than i would have prefered, but definitely not offputing. light apple. pretty drinkable. lotta classic drie foneinen mineral, foggy, leathery funk with a bright, yet soft lemon zesty punch. very tame beer.

Bottle corked shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear hazy amber color with a large frothy off-white head that was lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour yeast, tart fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Medium sour yeast and fruit flavor with a medium to heavy sour finish of moderated to long duration. This is a standout for style beer.

750ml bottle. Bottled 2011/02/17. Big thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing this one! Totally hazy vibrant orange color. Thin off-white head, leaves good thicker splotches of lace. Looks great, especially for a gueuze. Awesome, complex aroma... Some citrus, lemon, middle-eastern spices, dark musty wood... Just sniffing this makes my mouth water. Floral notes. Medium body. Smooth, lightly soft carbonation, that rises up to a quick crisp finish. First sip is very pleasant on the palate. More dry at the end. Moderate sour, a light spiciness, and light to moderate sweet. A distinguished geuze... Clearly one of the best I’ve ever had, definitely stands out. Not as socky and funky as others, a relatively clean, bright aroma, less basementy. Very pleasant stuff. With each sip, I try to contemplate the flavor profile, but instead just end up philosophizing life...

750 ml bottle shared with the group thanks to kbudd19. Pours a hazy dark golden/light amber color with a large white head. The aroma has opened with big funky, musty, earthy notes and some lighter fruit character, some citrus, wood, very interesting and enjoyable. The flavor has everything from the nose with more fruit, wood, funk, stinky cheese, good carbonation keeps the flavor popping. I really like this one and wish I had more.

750 ml bottle to snifter (generously shared by alexsdad06; thanks Brad!). Looks flawless for the style; a translucent geuzy orange with fluffy eggshell head. Smells great! Funky and cheesy with some oak as well. Sme citrus as it opens up too. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. Outstanding.

The beer pours a hazed golden brown with a rocky white head that lingers. The aroma is funky earth, garage floor, and vinegar. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with above average carbonation. The flavour is sour and woody with plenty of funky flavours. There is both a sweetness and a sourness to the finish with the sour winning out.

Bottle. (this one from Graham) From notes. A: Cloudy particulate in orange with a foamy white head. Nice lacing. N: Oak from a mile away. Lots and lots of yeasty funk. Touch of salty cheese. Grapefruit and lemon. Peppercorn. Almost rich in its intensity. T: Densely sour. Good acidity and a hefty malt-body. Yeast and wood run through it. M: A bit oily and very full. Almost creamy. Off style, a bit, but it works. Easy to drink. O: Fantastic. Might be my second favorite beer from 3F.

Bottle I was saving for my daughter’s 1st birthday. Bottle was highly carbonated. Deep amber pour with a thick massive white head. Lightly hazy with a touch of suspended yeast. The nose is absolutely incredible - musty/funky aroma. Hints of tropical fruit, passionfruit and a bit of soft horseblankety funk. Softly woody with a bright tartness. Restrained acidity with a light straw character. Some nice graininess in back of the fruit and bretty funk. Loads of soft carbonation. Some light citric character initially but as it warms up it there is a little bit of soft leathery funkiness and a soft spiciness along with a touch of lingering acidity. Just a touch of cheesy character as well. Incredible brew.

Bottle, shared new years eve 2013/14, as noone had brought decent champagne. Hazy golden body, big white head. Aroma of apples, grapes, funk, wood. Taste is pretty sour, with grapes and citrus fruits, barnyard, cardamom and other spices, hay. Aftertaste is sour with leather and wood, clean dry body. A very good one!

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with minimal head. Funk, cheese, horse blankets and all that. Some tartness, very nice.
