4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled, large sample. Cloudy orange color, medium frothy off-white head. Aroma of barnyard and horseblanket, some soft spicy notes. Good mix of slight lactic and citric notes. Medium sour in taste, slight bitter. Good balance on the malt base together with the complexity of the sourness. Just a wonderfully balanced and complex geuze.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Classic blend, good emphasis on the candy-like sourness that some 3f lambic and loast abbey has.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Corked 750mL Champagne bottle. Bottling date 2011/02/17
Makes its presence known to all with an almighty pop on uncorking. I pour a whole flute full of rather persistent foam... After giving it some time it reveals a burnished orange body with uniform haze. The foam sticks around, holding a dense head, with the odd chunk desperately cling to the side of the glass, as if it were doomed if it were left with the rest of the beer...
My nose is met with a subtle yet deeply complex perfume. First few whiffs are somewhat reminiscent of a young dry Riesling (Clare Valley perhaps?), with limes, floral blossom, flinty minerality, even a bit of kerosene/solvent character, which isn’t out of place. But naturally, there’s much more to it; stinky cheesy leesy character, a touch of oak vanillin, apricots and grapefruit, sweat, hay, fino Sherry-like flor-yeast funk.
Very delicate and light on the palate, lively carbonation is somewhat soft and creamy on the palate, lending more mouthfeel, with bracing acidity drawing out the length,
The body reveals a journey of flavours; starting with the juicy sweet and sour sensation of biting into a grapefruit, followed by a taste of sharp aged hard cheese on cracker biscuit, finishing up in a recent used barnyard sipping on vinegar, An unusual experience, yes, but highly enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Adam, thanks! Pours a hazy dull gold with a white head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has a good amount of funk with a bit of menthol and an underlying earthy tartness. Flavor starts with sour fruits and an earthy tartness with a good amount of menthol and other funky notes.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml from adnielsen. Dude.. What an epic LOL Box. Shared with deyholla the evening before his wedding as a nightcap. Pours a nice darker amber gold hue, firmer big haziness overall with a frothy offwhite cakey head. Sticks around well, good lacing and nice presence. Aromas are richly sour, oranges and lemons, rich lactic presence is sour and citric, some good yogurt. Straw and funk, good gentle barnyard presence, touches of oak, vanilla, and funk. A gentle mushroom element, firmer oak. Nice stuff. Initial is medium bodied, a gentle body, with good richer sourness. Firm lactic acidity, lemons and oranges meet some touches of earth, menthol, coolness and almost mint. Some earth, gentle bready and straw malts. Some hits of fruity esters. Tart and lactic, good lemony life. Telltale Drie Font yeast, funk, oak and brett meld. Good lactic elements, vanilla and yogurty as we keep moving. Backend is dry, funky, firmly sour and keeping on. Tapers lightly. Some good funk, oak, and touches of vanilla. Really nice, a bit earthy but good. Nice flavors, good and rich, firm sourness without being overwhelming. Pretty nice Gueuze. Smells good, looks great, beer is quite nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle big thanks to Dallas. Pours a deep copper color with a large white head. A huge amazing lambic nose with big sour woody notes balanced with super sweet multiple fruit notes. A nice fluffy palate. The flavor is apricot, berries, big funkiness and sour acidic sawdust. Really drinkable. Peaches and more apricot. Dusty mold and book leaves. Tasty. Excellent world class beer.
