Aroma: Aroma of cherry and oak.
Taste: Cherry, tart, and some faint oak.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: Bottle at Nerd Beer Epic Weekend, 1/25/13
Aroma:†The aroma is pretty much all cherries and oak, and has sour notes
Appearance:†This beer pours a reddish color with small head and light lace
Flavor:†The taste is similar to the nose with cherry sweetness, sour berries, and some oak
Palate:†The body is medium, it feels a little acidic, lively carbonation, and a tart feel to the finish
I thought this was a solid Kriek, but I was almost expecting it to be a little better. Still though, I enjoyed this one quite a bit, and Iím glad to have tried it.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2010 bottle. Aroma is fresh cherries, horseblanket, brett, nice citrus and grape notes, nice winegum aroma. Taste is pretty masterful - the lambic part of the beer is brett forward, citrus, only a bit lactic sour - and then a nice sour cherry component - not really sweet - just plain cherries that are a few weeks from ripe. Yet another hit from 3 Fonteinen.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
2010 bottle. Pours a spectacular deep ruby red with no head. Great tart aroma with lactic acid, sweet cherries, and a wet earthy tone at the end. Very tart forward with a touch of vegetal note followed by a subtle sweetness of cherries before a sour lactic finish. The tartness has definitely increased in the past year. Thin, dry body. One of my favorite krieks.†

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
bottle date 4/26/11 opened for new years 2013 , shared 3 ways. the smell of clean funk and sour cherries. the look of cranberry juice but with a quarter finger of head at first and then just a ring of bubbles. the taste is just like the smell except the sour is the forerunner here. the body is light enough to fit profile and the carbonation is spot on. overall this is an amazing beer, if it was cheaper and more available then i would have more than 1.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottled 22 March 2006 and first beer of 2013. Pours a darker crystal clear rosť with a slightly pink halo carbonation ring. Tart earthy mild cherry, mostly skin and pit, woody pencil shavings, dirty wet wool, slight cheese and some barnyard excrement. Quite tart and dry up front, green strawberries, bit of lemon, cherry pit/marzipan, slight oak/hay mid palate, some cheese comes in, finishes with lingering fruity tartness that is semi dry. Pleasant, but should revisit fresher if given the chance.
