750ml bottle. Poured a dark and cloudy reddish color with a smaller sized reddish/pink head. Aromas of, you guessed it, cherries, yeast, and a little woody. Tastes of the same. Had a very nice and sour tart finsish to it.

Thanks to Logan for sharing this one! It pours a beautiful red with a pink head and lacing. The nose is of sweet cherries, cinnamon, wood and earth notes. The flavor is a very balanced marriage of sweet cherry, acidity, wood, and earth. One of the most well balanced and refreshing beers I have ever had. Spot on! Iím very happy I was able to enjoy it with a group of friends new and old! Thanks again Logan!

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2010 Bottle (2007): The aroma consists of sour/tartness, barnyard, vinous notes, and cherries. It pours a transparent orangish-red with a minimal pinkish head that quickly fades to a very fine ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts moderately tart lemon along with some faint vinous notes. The finish has light-moderate cherry, light vanilla, a hint of vinegar, and just of touch of oak. The cherry flavors balance perfectly with the tartness. Light-medium bodied with minimal carbonation.

This beer poured a nice, murky dark rose with a small light pink head. Clouds of fine yeast swirrled around the glass like pale pink clouds. Lovely. Aromas included cherries, roses, sour apples and rose hips. The flavor was amazing, fading from tingly sour to lightly bitter in an average-length finish. The palate was nice. The body was light-to-medium with a velvety texture and lively carbonation. What a treat!

Thanks to Eyedrinkale for sharing this.
Poured dark effervescent pink with a light pink head. Aroma is sweet and tart cherries wrapped in a blanket of lambic funk. Very tart wild cherry flavor with sour blanket goodness; wild, earthy, woody. As Mike so eloquently put it, like eating a wild sour cherry with the stem still attached. Intriguing and delicious.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cloudy cranberry red body with a ring of white lace. Excellent aroma of sour cherries with a dose of funk. Excellent funky flavor of sour cherries with a lot of dust and cobwebs. The palate is light and dusty, the carbonation is soft. Excellent, Drei Fonteinenís Oude Kriek is very good but not excellent, this one however is amazing.

Opened at the Logan ratebeer gathering during the 2005 GABF, bottle sent to me by my Summer Santa, thanks for allowing me to share:
Rose hued with a light fizzy pink head. The aroma has notes of cherry, light brett and funky yeast esters, iron and minerals, and a touch of oak. The taste has a brisk cherry flavor with supporting barnyard brett character but not nearly the sour beer of a Cantillion. Some undertones of vanilla and oak as well as a splash of herbal bitterness. The feel is quite light and lively, very refreshing. I love it, a more approchable high quality Kriek. Canít wait for another bottle to arrive this month in trade.

2005 vintage, thanks to Per - opaque dark redish colour with absolutely no foam; deep aroma of black cherries with notes of vinegar and haye; oily with a good malt body; a robust acidity appears before a long and moderately dry aftertaste of cherries and rhubarb - a little lack of complexitiy prevents this beer to be relly great
