4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of my favorite sours. This is a beer I believe should be had. The sour of this beer is apparent right off the bat. The appearance for some reason surprised me. I have had this beer a few times before, but for some reason this pour was something else. It is a beautiful type of purple/pink that is bright and non transparent. It’s a beautiful beer in all areas of rating. Cheers King James

Bottle sampled. Pours dark pink-ish with a quickly dissipating light pink head. Huge aroma of barnyard, funk, raspberries, acidic and red fruits. Can smell it from meters away. Flavour is highly sour, light sweet. Complex, excellent blend. Medium bodied.

From notes. Bottle shared by Bytemesis. Thank you! Bottled April 2010. Aroma was dominated by Brett... with tart red fruit underneath.. VERY wine like! Very captivating. Layers of Brett, barnyard, tart cherries, and cherry pie filling linger on the finish. Very powerful flavor and acidity. Very dry finish. Very enjoyable experience. Don't blend it!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 2010 vintage. Pours beautiful clear deep pink, tiny pink head, some lacing. Aroma is quite funky, barnyard and horse blanket, lots of cherry as well. Flavor is very cherry forward, quite tart with just a light residual sweetness. Funk is fairly light as well, accenting the cherry nicely. Light plus body, low carbonation. This was yummy.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark red with brown hue, no foam. Very slight aroma, some cherry, some horse blanket, wood. Strong tart character, dries the mouth, beautiful natural cherry flavor, lactic. Outstanding. If the smell was stronger this would be just about perfect.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle split at JF’s, from an IP trade @ Borfets V, 03/11/13.
Murky claret with a good sized crimson head that dissipates to nothing fairly pronto.
Nose is a big smoked cherry blast, burnt cherry dipped straw, tartened cherry skins left to wither, cobwebs, oaky woody tones.
Taste comprises rich soured cherries, burnt cherry dipped straw, funky, tarte cherry skin, soured berry fruit compote.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy finish dominated by ... you guessed it, tarte cherry notes.
Top draw fruit lambic!
