I could drink this all night. Such a smooth mouthfeel from what appears to be a much more stout drink. Much smoother than many porters with a buttery finish. Truly a treat.

Nice to see this on the shelf at Casanova in Wisconsin! Dark pour, though certainly not black. A soft tan head that stayed on the beer for almost an hour while I was feeding babies. Lots of tan lacing. Roasted malts give way to some chocolate bitterness and some sourness as well. Very nice and more complexity as it warms.

Bottle at 3 Fonteinen Restaurant, pours a deep dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of toasted malt, some dry cocoa, and some dry coffee. Flavour brings out notes of dry coffee and light toasted malt. Light-to-medium body, even for a porter, but well-balanced with nice flavours. Decent, regular porter.

Black pour, creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted, brett, funky, bread, caramel and some spices. Flavor is spicy roasted bitter malts, a hint of sourness, funky, some earth. Well balanced. Very smooth. Lovely brew.

Pours dark brown, big lambic like head. Lots of cocoa and oak on the nose. Taste is pretty much like every other porter but with a metallic and sweet finish. There’s a mild tartness but this is not a mind blowing beer but it is a good porter.

Deep brown with a tiny hint of brown head. Slightly roasty aroma. Flavor is roasty and a hint of tart red fruit. Not a lot going on.

Clear, very dark brown, close to black body with a medium brown head that is quite large and creamy. and that reduces to a fully lasting layer after a long time. Qhen the glass is empty the walls are covered in foamy remnants. Perfect! The aroma has a dry feel, is not that strong, but are quite pleasant. I get wild brett notes, barnyard, leather and fermented berries. From the aroma alone I would never have guessed that this is a porter! The taste is initially light to moderate sweet and light sour, the quite long-lasting finish is light sweet, light sour and moderate to light bitter. The flavours are funky, barnyard and lots of fruits and especially berries. I can’t quite decide if the berries are sweet and fermented or really tart, I guess it’s a mix. There are notes of cherry and also some lingonberries in the back. Finally in the aftertaste I get the first typical porter notes in the form of bitter coffee. The sweet fruits and berries and the medium body contrast the sourness very well. The texture is oily but still rather dry, the carbonation is moderate. A very nice one and an interesting take on the style.

Pours a deep bunrt umber color with a finger of khaki foam. The nose is very roasty with some earthy compost, dark plum, caramel and molasses. The palate is predominately roasty with nice undertones of unsweetened chocolate, old wood, toasted grain and sour fruit touches in the late palate that lingers with a touch of acid on the finish.

pours dark brown with a huge tan head...nice retention and lacing. aroma has funky dark fruit atop roasty, chocolatey notes. flavor follows suit and adds a layer of oakiness...this is funky rigt to the point of almost sour before oak and roastiness take over. Mouthfeel is light/medium and silky...lively...with an oaky dark chocolate dry finish. i like this...works well.
