3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour out of grenade bottle, dark brownish black pour with fizzy but lasting khaki head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, cocoa, caramel, molasses into a bit of lemon, hints of vanilla, lactic notes as well, interesting. Taste is a mix of dark chocolate, roast, hints of slight funky, oaky, earthy notes into a bit of coffee, slight dark fruits, finishing slightly bitter, dry. Pretty drinkable, not what I expected.

11.2 oz bottle from Mile High Wine & Spirits. Black appearance with a brown head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, light coffee, chocolate, funky yeast and earthy hops. Similar flavor, with notes of tart fruits, grass, spices and herbs. Medium body. Pretty good, interesting porter.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle, best by some time in 2016. Pours clear dark brown with ruby highlights and khaki head that dissipates quickly. Aroma: bakers chocolate and stone fruits. Caramel. Roast coffee and more fruit. Taste: Lots of roast and chocolate. Sour fruit. Metallic aftertaste lingers long after the rest has died down. Palate: Light to medium body, slick texture thatís a bit thin, average carbonation. Overall: interesting concept, but not sure this all really comes together all that harmoniously here. Kind of a chore to finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark brown with mahogany tones where the light penetrates. Itís got a big fluffy khaki head and good lacing on the glass.
The aroma is nice, chocolaty & roasty with a touch of metallic stuff going on. I can see a touch of funkiness to it, but generally it smells very roasty and porter like.
The flavor is nice enough, pretty dry... which is understandable but Iím not entirely sure it serves the malt profile best... Itís got some nice dark chocolate notes, some nice coffee notes & some bright fruitiness. Itís certainly got a lactic twang to it, but itís not intensely sour or tart or anything. It defiantly has some buggy sorta funky notes to it & overall I think it works, it works better than I suppose the sum of itís parts would suggest it would.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins. Pours a deep brown appearance with a big foamy brown head. Aroma has roast, dark chocolate, a bit of coffee, white fruits / pear, and mineral. Pretty heavy carbonation. A touch metallic. Pretty roasty / burnt malty flavor. Some fruit / apples on the finish. Nothing special and certainly not worth $7.49 which I paid.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Stubby 330 ml bottle, from Secret Sinterklaas, thanks! Into a snifter, ABV 7%
The beer is a very very dark brown and very close to black one, with one finger of tan head on top, good desnity and retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass.
Aroma is of sour cherries, grapes, mixed with some coffee and milky chocolate when I swirl the glass.
Taste of chocolate, some roasted malts, mixed with sour cherries. Nice mix of sourness upfront and a bit of bitterness on the finish and on the aftertaste, where it actually struggles to be noted actually.
Medium boby, low and soft carbonation.
Overall quite interesting this one, and nice.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wow. I love this. Ah-mazing. Pours a slick near black with a fizzy head. Aroma of burnt popcorn, light roast and tart fruit. Flavor is sublime... perfect balance or tart and roast, berries, fruit, funk, dry but not thin.... insanely good. I love sour porters!

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, brown, mostly lasting.
Body is black (non-opaque, flashlight tested).
Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate), with notes of sour cherries, sour apple, and wood.
Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Weird aroma thatís kinda like a blend of a simple porter, cough syrup, and a Flemish red ale. Infected-like sourness in the mouth doesnít work well with the roasted malts. Another drain pour from De Proef, naively I thought Armandís involvement might help but I guess not.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Brown pour, some red hues. Nose is lambic funk, some maltiness. Taste is some tartness typical if a lambic and then a mellow malty sweetness, some chocolate. A very light lingering tartness and chocolate. Light on the palate.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - 330ml. pours an opaque black body with an average beige creamy head. Complex, robust malty aroma with vineous, oaky, and hoppy hints. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries vineous, yeasty, and oaky notes. Ends with a decent sour finish. Very interesting.
