Interesting aroma, a bit funky with some dark roasted malts too. This features in the flavour too. Also some caramel sweetness. Interesting stuff.

Never bought a bottle because of the price but I had a sample on tap at vintage. Curious about the name, internet thang er sumthin? Nice lookin lacing. Little malt aroma. Yes, slight wild feel on a laid back porter. Not real apparent on the wild side, just trying to act like it. Overall, a pretty good experience with some hints of chocolate on the finish.

Mild sour brown smell. Taste is like a mild sour brown ale mixed with a general malt taste. It’s alright.

0.33l bottle. Black body, huge light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, wood and sour cherry. Taste of chocolate, sour cherry, sherry, lemon juice and some earthy hops. Very nice.

Dark brown colour, nice beige head. Some wild notes in aroma, dark malts and dried fruits. Tart taste, dried fruits, some sweetness and roasted notes.

Quite possibly the worst Belgian beer I have ever had. Every dimension of good Belgian beer is taken to extreme levels. Excessively bitter and sour. Burnt, not toasted, roasted or smoked. On the plus side, it looks and smells good.

Keg at biercab, barca. Black with off white head. Aroma is smoky choxolate and coffee, with some herbal notes. Taste is bright and rich at the same time, roasty bitterness with a slightly tart overtone. Nice fizz on the tongue and good medium body with oil. Really like this one.

Tried in bottle bought in Austria at Tribaun. Colour is dark brown/black. Aroma is malts, caramel, chocolate and cherry. It also has a sour note. Taste is caramel, chocolate, coffee, cherry and sour yeast. Very nice porter! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On pouring a lovely aged malty aroma, beautifully oxidised, autolised, and mellowed. However, close up it’s got a lovely apricotty aroma too. Basically black, and has a nice dark tight head. Lovely yeast-extracty taste, not quite marmitey. Nice coffee roast. Pleasant body, fullish, but with pleasant carbonation too, so it’s remarkably light. Finish is very roasty, almost burnt but not ashy. Not sour at all, which is what I had feared, but the apricotty aroma (and burps) are a magnificent reminder of the joys of lambic without any sourness. Very interesting and complex brew. No sign of 7% at all. Age has treated this very well, one I do recommend . But at this age you must pour carefully, the yeast at the bottom has autolysed into fluffy lumps, and when one plops out, you’ve lost. 3 Fonteinen again impress.

A Porter with brett is strangely wonderful. Nearly black, persistent thick caramel froth. In the nose something like salad with vinaigrette, some cocoa. Full, round body paired with acidity. I really liked this one.
