Licht zurige afdronk.

Aroma: Smells like a porter with hints wine acidity Appearance: Black color. Medium size head Taste; Light sweetness, not much bitter considering it is a porter. Nice light sour undertones throughout the front middle and end of the taste. Delicious smoke taste coffee, and roasted cacao at the finish. Palate: Nice full bodied complex porter. Has a creamy texture and an interesting finish. Overall this is an interesting beer. It combines elements of a well-crafted porter with wine-like features. I would buy this again.

Quack-Duck (8382) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 28, 2014
bottle from kappldav123. Dark amber brown colour, fluffy beige head. Sourish fruity nose. Enough malty sweetness not to make it too tart, with fruity accents, some cocoa and wild yeasty flavours. Good stuff.

Mild säuerlicher Antrunk mit malziger Basis. Dabei ist die Säuerlichkeit frisch und konstant in der Intensität. Röstig, leicht bitter. 12/12/11/11/8/11

Very surprising beer. A sour porter. The porter character is less heavy and creamy than expected. Sour beer with a black strong body. Impressing.

Beautiful dark brown color with small head. Aroma is tart and lambic-like, but also lots of malts and cinnamon. Taste is sweetish-sour, combined with malty, dark flavours, and a dry finish. I like this combination very much!

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2014 33cl bottle from Erzbierschof. A dark porter made with spontaneous fermentation sounds like an interesting experiment indeed. The sour and sparkly lambic feel is there but not dominant, giving the usual porter (that I actually don’t like) a nice counterweight. Still, not one of my favourites.

hackobock (2009) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 22, 2014
October 15, 2014. Bottle at home, best before november 22, 2016. Pours dark brown with a medium sized dense brown head. Aroma is milk chocolate, light tart cherries and oak. Taste is light sweet milk chocolate up front, tart cherries and dry oak notes in the finish. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation.
