Poured a dark reddish brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma of lambic yeast. Medium, lively body, flavour is sweet, spiced roast malt. Weird combination.

Pour is dark brown with brown head and lots of lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, red wine, coffee, chocolate, sourness. Taste is roasty, chocolate, red vinous, tart, light and well integrated sourness, dry finish. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Usualy not a fan of dark sour but this one isnt bad at all.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bouteille 330 ml.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle. Courtesy of Martinus. Shared with lupuloferoz.Subtle tart , some coffee, roasty aromas. Pours black with nice tan head, vanishing, scattered lacing. Medium body, average carbonation, some crispy texture. Taste is dried fruits, some coffee, roasty, tart flavours, not so well integrated, but enjoyable anyway.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma van gebrande mout, daarna rood fruit en melkzuur van de brett. In de smaak komt wat chocolade en frisse zuren van rood fruit. Spannend en mooi in balans.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a really dark brown with a dirty white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is weird but expected: roasted with a sour twang, vinous. Taste is sour hiding some sweet aspect with some chocolate and roasted notes. Mouthfeel is lean and quaffable. I wouldn’t drink a whole lot of this but it met my expectations!

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thick frothy beige puddin’ head. Aroma is light coffee, chocolate and lemon. It’s like crossing a Lambic with a Guinness. Tart, prickly and dry on the back of the tongue. Odd and interesting at the same time. Not my cup of tea.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Toffee and cask wood aroma with some red wine effects. Dark brown, pretty standard appearance. Sweet, sour smokey flavor. Almost gamey, bloody even. Crossing the yeast streams for beer styles yields some interesting stuff, but this one is very unique. Expectedly heavy thick body. Good product, too pricy in this market as a Shelton’s import.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (330 ml). Dark brown with a medium beige head and heavy lacing. Aroma is a mix of roasted malt/chocolate and lemon/tartness... weird, but interesting. Taste is slightly sweet with roasted malt, citrus/lemon, tartness, chocolate and light oak. Medium body. Dry mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. That’s a unique beer, that for sure! It’s different from Sour Stout as there’s really a lambic-like presence. The balance is really good considering the kind of beer it is. I wouldn’t buy many more of these, but it’s certainly really interesting to try.
