3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @Erzbierschof’s -- dark with medium persistant beige head. Aroma is ’stouty’, coffee, hints of chocolate. Flavor is similar but covered by sourness. It is light to medium bodied. Alcohol is hidden. Easy to drink. An unusual experience!

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Dark like a porter but tastes nothing like it. Stale aroma, sour body, yeasty appearance. Like the brew you should have put to the sewer but was to greedy not to.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
beige head leaves some lacing. coffee coloured. aroma is sourish, old wet wood, hint of anise. taste is citric acid, roasted malts with a bitter finish, ends wry tannines. rather thin body, medium carbonation. didn’t work for me, the combination sour-bitter-wry is not mine. bottle 33cl / bbf 2017

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The aroma of dark malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Good but still a bit sour in taste. It even has a light fruitiness but taken over with coffee and chocolate. The aftertaste has a good bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth of a weak moment. Sur and still quite watery.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours almost pitch black, with a brown head.
Roasted, quite acidic, vaguely funky aroma, coffee beans, licorice, earth, faint smoke, tobacco.
Dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2.
Roasted, acidic, faintly funky taste, chocolate, coffee beans, licorice, earth, hay.
Technically competent, but the acidic elements, and the roasted character really needs more body and/or residual sweetness IMO, to be balanced. (2014-09-10)

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from systembolaget. Smell of dark roasted malts. Dosen’t really smell much. Pours dark solid brown with a small beige head. Taste has some sweet bread, some malts roasted dark chocolates. Palate is full in body at the same time subtle. Overall an okay beer which offers more in taste than in smell.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle: shared between 6 at the Midlands Tasting Group on 24th Aug 2014. Pours dark brown with a creamy head in colour and texture. Not my thing, a sour farmhouse with lemons in the both the aroma and taste, add a dark maltiness throughout with some dry roasted nut flavours and you have got the taste I did. I would say it was different more than interesting and I did not take to it at all.
