On Tao at Dix Brasserie. Lightly sour porter in the true tradition of Guiness and later Belgian interpretations. Beautiful lace, nice tight head, dark as chocolate. Biscuity, yeasty aroma. Not heavy yet fulfilling, slight tart, no roast, malty, dry finish. Perfection. Well-blended.

Smells like a porter with hints wine acidity
Black color. Medium size head
Light sweetness, not much bitter considering it is a porter. Nice light sour undertones throughout the front middle and end of the taste. Delicious smoke taste coffee, and roasted cacao at the finish.
Nice full bodied complex porter. Has a creamy texture and an interesting finish.
Overall this is an interesting beer. It combines elements of a well-crafted porter with wine-like features. I would buy this again.

Such a refreshing take on a beer - brett yeasts have been used pleny of times in dark beers, but I REALLY enjoyed how well they’ve done this.
Aroma has a roasty nose, touch sour, chocolate notes play in and out of smell. Appearance has a beautiful thick tan head, and is almost jet black in colour, brown round the edges. Taste is fantastic, beautifully roasty choc/malt flavour complemented perfectly by the sour taste. Palate is beautifully silky, far more pleasant than normally comes with such a flavoursome beer. Absolutely exquisite!

I love Lambick yeast. Pachnie pszepieknie to piwo kawa czekolada, powidlami sliwkowymi i winnym octem. W smaku lekko palone czekoladowo kawowe i kwaskowe, taninowe dosc solidnie. Orzecha wloskiego wyczulem w pszelyku w koncowce. Wyglad to glebia czarnego koloru, geste i czarne niczym smola. Piana brazowawa sporoa utrzymujaca sie sredio dlugo ale jest super jakosci. Piwo jakby chcialo pszemowic, bierz i kosztuj kazdy lyk i sie nim delektuj. Doskonale do serowych pszekasek. Polecam.

Wow. I love this. Ah-mazing. Pours a slick near black with a fizzy head. Aroma of burnt popcorn, light roast and tart fruit. Flavor is sublime... perfect balance or tart and roast, berries, fruit, funk, dry but not thin.... insanely good. I love sour porters!

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2014 33cl bottle, Geers. A thinner than expected black, impervious filter coffee pour. Organically, earthily, many-hued soured porter incorporating the aromas of red berry arabica coffee beans, suave bitter chocolate with dried cherries, rich roasted beans of either the coffee or cocoa variety, in both liquid and granulated form, red wine if left open for a while. Very easy to drink, a lactic but easy sourness guides the palate towards sessionabilty. Splendid aftertaste, subsuming all fruity (berries and apple), powdery, vinous notes in a masterfully dry coda. - This original, subtle, stellar dessert of a beer, with manyfold potential pairing options, yet also holds up confidently when drunk by itself.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2010 Bottle found in Urbain’s fridge (Sorry Travlr - there was only one). My "welcome drink" at Struise! Pours very black with a solid dark brown head and amazing lacing. Subtle aroma of barnyards in the nose, notes of bread character and subtle soy sauce. Low to medium body, mild sweetness up front, roast, soft charcoal coffee notes. Middle palate is where Armand’s sour flavors come through. Mildly tart in the aftertaste. Very solid beer.

bottle@GBF 2011: black with a little off-white head, smell is hop mixed with dark malts, slight brett & bitter coffee, tastes like roasted dark malts, slight dark fruits, bitter coffee, bitter dark chocolate, brett, light yeast, wood, aftertaste is interestingly enough slightly sour & vinous, interesting combination, very interesting combination, loving it
