3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DaSilky1 (2575) - San Diego, USA - NOV 7, 2011
Draft @ churchhills. Pours with a nitro-looking head though not sure its on nitro and the mouthfeel suggests otherwise. Nose has notes of malts and leather...somewhat tart, could be funky body with the chocolate malts overshadowing much of what make it wild tasting yet its got a light effervecense from the wild yeast strain. Decent belgian-style porter, and nicely drinkable.

Bottle @ Haand festival.
Pour Black with a brownish hue, and no head.
Aroma of coffee and sour berries - a rather strange combo. And the taste is also quite sour.
Average body, with a slight fizzy carb. (this is rather strange)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Scopey (1652) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2012
Bottle at CBC. It pours black, with a thick tan head. The nose is floral, lemon, tart green apple and farmyard. The taste is roasted malt, caramel, tart green apple, lemon, coffee, tangy dark fruit (blackcurrant and prune), chewy malt and alcohol warmth, with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I’m not in love with this sour dark beer style, but it’s a decent beer nonetheless.
