Commercial Description:
3 Ravens 55 is an American style Pale Ale, first brewed on our 5th Birthday. Five assertive hops meet a blend of barley, corn, wheat oats and rye. Floral aromatics lead to a structured maltiness and clean finish. Traditional bottle conditioning naturally carbonates this beer and helps to its complexity.Engineered by hand, this beer is the product of a craft brewing process in which traditional methods meet exacting standards. We take care to emphasize quality of quantity and to use only the finest natural ingredients.

Had this on tap at LambsgoBar in Fitzroy. Quite a surprise. Smooth in the mouth, with definite citrus bent. Is on the flat side but gos down well.

Light body. Little backbone. Lots of hops, lots of bitterness. Straight forward. OK

Careless pour led to heaps of floaties. Amber with tight white head. Nice floral and citrus nose. Medium bodied with fruity malts. What hop bitterness there is is nice, but it’s very light-on for bitterness for something that is supposed to be an APA. Still, I liked the very bottled-conditioned liveliness of this.

Looks a treat.Poured a mahogany amber with a nice dense head. A bit over carbonated. Floral and citrus on the nose, but muted. In the mouth ii is med to full bodied with a light to medium hop bite. A bit subdued for what they are aiming for. Solid.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber pour with a white head that quickly shrinks to surface cover. Aroma has lots of tangy, floral hops and notes of citrus, toffee and malt. Flavour is more malty and has notes of citrus and caramel. Light body, with a little sweetness, and a fairly short bitter finish. Easy to drink, maybe even sessionable, but not outstanding.

Bottle. Nice orange with thin head that disappeared pretty quickly. Aroma has some malt sweetness, resiny hopes and a little alcohol. Didnt really get any of the citurs aromas expected for the stle. Flavours are much the same with a little sweet biscuty malt and some hop bitterness. Mouthfeel was fairly wayery. Not what was expected for the style.

330ml bottle. Lively orange colour with a thin wispy head and reasonable carbonation. Floral aroma with citrus notes. Medium bodied and feels good in the mouth with a long aftertaste.

Copper brew with a nice off white head. The nose is actually quite hoppy, a nice citrus character, malty, very light alcohol, some phenolic character. The flavor shows a mild hop profile, light citrus, an impressive hop character given what I was expecting. A nice crisp easy bitterness. Job well done.

Bottle (330ml). Poured a nice gold colour. Aroma of grains, malt, and a little citrus. Not as much as I hoped from an APA. Palate a little on the thin side, with low carbonation. Flavours of stonefruit, lemons, little bit of malt (not enough of a malt flavour for me). Where are the hops? It’s an easy quaffer, but I want more bang for my buck.
