MBison (374), Southern Highlands, Australia Jun 20, 2008 Bottle (330ml). Poured hazy golden brown (amber?) with a rocky off-white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of sweet biscuity malts, grassy hops, buttery toffee, dried apricots, orange zest, red berries, hay and some spices (all spice and coriander). Flavor was of dry grainy malts with a grassy metallic hop bitterness, caramel, orange zest, dry biscuit notes and a spicy finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and an ok finish.
gam (515), brisbane, Australia Aug 12, 2008 Thin but strong head, good carbonation, aroma sweet malty.Flavour fruity/spicey,medium taste could be stronger,no real pick up.Finish is dull like Raven White. Unholy_Brewing (287), Melbourne, Australia Jun 1, 2008 ...tap at the microbrew showcase. Nice brew, nice hop notes, fruity and balanced. Maltiness is there, and lingers giving a good aftertaste. Medium body, and decently complex. Would have this again if I could find it. Arassuil (13), Australia Dec 5, 2007 when I pulled an ice-cold bottle out of the fridge and popped the cap, an immediate malty spice aroma wafted out of the bottle. I took a wine glass and poured about a mouthfull into it and enjoyed the deep gold colour whilst enjoying the aroma some more. Taking the drink, the carbonation filled my senses with its light maltiness and flavour before sliding effortlessly down. I then tasted it out of the bottle, and have to say it was just as good. The enjoyment I got drinking this beer was so great, it seemed gone too soon. ChrisTurner (199), Bulleen, Australia Jul 27, 2007 Bottle -- Cloudy dark honey with a lot of carbonation. Next to no head and not a lot of lacing. Very fruity hop aroma. Medium palate although a bit watery. Flavour is quite sweet and fruity up front, with spice in the middle and some sourness at the end. Perhaps a little unbalanced but a very nice drop.
