(Sample at Papsø’s) Pours a clear dark amber with little off-white head and lace. The aroma is mostly oak and something undefinable that is probably the smoke. Full-bodied, medium carbonation, oily texture and a dry finish. The taste is malty with some tart, vinous notes. Interesting beer.

Medium body, sweet caramel and nuts with a pleasant oaky note while the smoke is extremely downplayed. A slight tartness. A little roast and ashes. But interesting indeed. 180911
