1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 mullet (849) - Melbourne, - OCT 6, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2004 I find it very interesting to read that eczematic found this to be like a witbier because talking to the brewer he told me he thought he had an infection in the batch I tasted which for mine made it taste like a hefeweizen. He told me this was the first problem he had had with infection which would now appear not to be the case. He was more than happy to tell me that his beer was infected and continue to sell it at a beer festival, which is somewhat baffling. So for that I will rate his infected beer. Loads of phenolic clove aromas with sweet fruit. Appearance very cloudy but with good head and lovely orange colour. Flavour kind of sweet, then bitter with a weird twang to it. Thick body. I have really enjoyed their Stout in the past but have had nothing but bad experiences with the Blond. I really want to like this brewery but I think they need to sort some things out first.
Rerate: They're bottling this now, and whilst it's not infected, I'm still not a fan. Very sweet, with lots of old fruit and only the faintest grassy hop flavour to balance.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Stew41 (1456) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - AUG 15, 2010
Very similar to the white ale. Some spice and cinammon, ahla Belgian wit in style, but there’s also an overlay of simple sweet and slightly cloying malts. Easy to quaff but not great in the true sense of the word. Earlier Rating: 10/16/2004 Total Score: 3 Nothing head - fades quickly. Copper, burnt orange colour. Lively nose, fruity, with some ever so light stewed notes. Quited lifted and a little sweet. Interesting palate, some sweet malt notes drives the profile although the finish does firm up with some bitterness. Not bad at all.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2010 330ml bottle at beer and brewer. fairly plain beer, might be a good one for those new to the craft scene Earlier Rating: 6/16/2010 Total Score: 3.4 nice smooth beer, easy to drink. fruity on the nose with a nice spice afterwards
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 whiterabbit (28) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 1, 2010
Pours dirty yellow with quickly deminishing head. Aroma is far too sweet if not a little synthetic. Taste is soapy in taste but finish is surprisingly the most pleasant part of this drinking experience.
Poor effort from a brewery that is made some half decent brews in the past.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Jade (311) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 26, 2010
Light golden colour with a fluffy white head. Very light aroma and taste. Leaves a light, sweet after taste.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Aarleks (408) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 3, 2010
Bottle: Very slightly hazy, but glowing with a pathetically feeble head that looked like an apology. A distinct dishwater aroma had me wondering whether a wrong valve had been opened in the brewing process, but some citrus-pine and gentle toffee notes managed to keep me interested. In the mouth spicy hop notes dominated with some peppery alcohol that lingered to a mild afterburn. A touch of residual sweetness in the toffee flavours was nice, but this was pretty forgettable.

Bottle 330ml. Not my style, but drinkable. Aromas of apple, butter, and a hint of caramel. Sweet taste, with a touch of sourness, and a dry finish. Oily palate, and thin-to-medium body. Orange, with a white head that doesn’t last.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hawthorne00 (1431) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - DEC 27, 2009
Bottle. Dark orange. Huge off-white head, at least a centimetre of which is retained all the way down the (test-tube style) glass.. High bead, some floating bits. Floral and grass hop aroma with some apricots and bread. Lots of honey and apricot sweetness that’s just about kept in check by the bittering. Soft mouthfeel. Stylistically confused it may be - it tastes like an EPA with some musty Belgian touches and Czech hops - but it’s pretty tasty and alive in an easy-going sort of way.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jimmythechippy (90) - , AUSTRALIA - DEC 25, 2009
i can see what they were trying to do with this beer, i guess to create something tame and not challanging for the mega swill drinkers. so in this they have succeeded, but its to boring for me. nice nobel hops have a faint aroma and inoffensive bitterness to finish.

Draught at Platform Bar, Brisbane.Dark golden with small white head. Caramel malt is dominate on the nose and flavour. Light hoppy tones. A short, bitter finish which is slightly harsh and husky. One glass is plenty. Earlier Rating: 8/22/2009 Total Score: 2.9 Bottle. Pours golden with a small white head. Malt, citrus, spice and wet grass aroma and flavour. Clean and crisp mouthfeel. A refreshing beer.
