500ml bottle. Vibrant looking dark amber colour with a head of dishwater foam. Thin in the body with a hint of sweetness. Flavour is okay and the aroma is moderate with not a lot going on.

Bootle. Pours a slightly lifeless brown with a small offwhite head. Not getting heaps from the aromas. Slightly sweet and a little grainy, Not much else. Flavour is sweet and a little thin. Not really for me.

Clear reddish brown, no head. Beautiful roasted grain aroma. Roasted, smoked flavour of wheat. Very nice, leaves an oaky feeling on the palette

Pours copper with a small head. Nose shows fruity and floral hops (lots of orange) along with slightly toasty malt and hints of coconut. Very sweet, later on some spicy cloves show. Similar flavours with lots more orange peel. Some soft alcohol shows, merging with the sweetness. Carbonation is distractingly high.

Fairly clear red body with off-white head. Caramel in the aroma with vanilla and pepper. Hints of banana in the taste also some caramel and some smokey notes off and on, pepper again and honey. Light medium body, smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. A beer that didn’t really stand out to me but I would certainly revisit again and again.

Vienna-like to my tastes but not a particularly memorable beer. Very much a malt-driven beer with caramel sweetness that combines quite well with a grainy, nutty character. Soft structure and easy to drink but not compelling.

Tap. Great beer, very original. Aromas of caramel, cola, grain, and some wood. Taste was sweet, with light bitterness, and average duration. Palate was velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy white head.

500ml bottle. Clear reddish amber with a small light beige head that disappears. Peppery aroma with some light honey, banana, lemon and flowers. Taste is a little sweet with some caramel and rye bite and depth. Almost hot black pepper at the finish, but no real bitterness. Don’t quite know what to make of it - apart from the spice it’s rather one-note; but that malty/ rye note grew in complexity as I drank it. Interesting.
