Cask Conditioned, at the Waterhouse, Manchester, England.
Dark brown, slightly thin looking. Wooden burn notes, perhaps not as complex or as rustic as some other old ales. Nice enough drink. If you’re looking for some other Three River beers this pub seems to stock a lot of them.

Dark amber with a tiny off white head. Aroma was sweet with roasted malt and caramel notes. Flavour was lightly smoked that also carried notes of caramel and roasted malt. Finished sweet.

Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Cask at Wandsworth Common Halloween Beer Festival, 30th Oct 09. Dark coppery amber. There are some coffee and chocolate flavours here but they are subsumed (at least at first) under a strong fruity taste that brings to mind greengages and gooseberry jam. Very interesting and flavoursome, at a quaffable ABV. Malts rather than hops rule the roost in this brew.

Cask (Gravity) at Charlbury Beer festival 04-07-09 Pours chestnut brown with a scattering of bubbles across the top. Pushed hard for beer of the day but ultimately pipped to the post by Millstone True Grit and George Wright Roman Black. Smoky nose along with some dark fruits. Good streaky bitterness throughout and the dark fruits and smokiness are also present in the mouth, cracking beer from a tidy little brewery. A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor combined with lighter notes of toffee and bread.
