COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is, in fact, a wheat beer. Beneath its rich, dark exterior and cascading head, you will find a classic unfiltered wheat presentation fused with the smooth, roasty, chocolate-like characteristics of the dark wheat malt. With a finish this unnervingly smooth, even a black sheep starts to feel normal again.

Courtesy of Skyview. Hazy gold color with a medium head. No aroma. Slightly smoky flavor with a harsh wheat character.

Dark brown with large frothy tan head, lasting with lace. Aroma is pleasantly roasty, chocolate, perhaps some wheat in there, fairly sweet. Light body, maybe a little thin. Mild sweet roasty. Mild bitter roasty finish. Decent beer but a little lacking for me. It is however easy drinking and fairly smooth.

A really interesting beer that comes from my home town of Sheboygan. Can’t wait to try some of 3 Sheeps other offerings.

A really good tasting beer that leaves a lively fizz on the tongue. A slightly irony taste that comes from the water adds to some of the taste depth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brownish black pour from draft at statestreet brats in Madison. White head. Chocolate watery aroma. Good full taste for low ABV. Chocolate and malt flavor. Not bad.

Bottle from Jake’s in Sheboygan. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Nice lacing. Aroma has bakers chocolate and a grainy smell. Taste is of bittersweet chocolate and wheat. A bit thin and watery. Finishes quickly as well. Easy to tell that this was the base for the Joe brew -- which was at least twice as good.

Tap at Old Fashioned. Opaque brown-black body. Thin, oily head. Sugary sweet chocolate aroma. Pretty insipid, amateur offering. Chocolate malt overload on top of a watery, bland body. Almost and extract feel, overly sweet and underattenuated. One-dimensional, dirinkable, but sub par. Schwarz-Dunkel..not much wheat.

Draft. Malt and hay aroma. Dark black color. Taste is very heavy on roasted malt. Not a lot else. A little too much carbonation for me but a nice light beer for summer.

Dark and frothy head. Weak nose, but mainly roasted malt. Some typical wheat beer smell. Taste is banana and clove followed by a roasted nut and chocolate, though not as strong as in a stout. I haven’t had too many examples of this style of beer. This was like a more refreshing stout, a stout for warmer times. Decent, hit the spot when I had it. Versatility remains to be seen.

Poured a nearly black color with a light beige head and lacing. Aroma was of roasted malts and a slight fruity twinge. Taste was mainly of roasted malts - somewhat coffee and chocolate flavors predominated. I could not easily detect any wheat clove flavoring - it was fairly hidden. Palate was decent. Overall, not a baaaad brew although I didn’t really experience much of the wheat supposedly there.
