3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Picked up a four-pack at Discount Liquors in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Pours a clear cola brown colored brew with a fast dissipating tan head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin beige ring. Aroma of ginger snaps, a hint of chocolate, some nutmeg and mince meat pie filling. Taste is medium to medium-full bodied, more roasted chocolate malt in flavor than aroma. Additional flavors of ginger, cocoa nibs and some clove. Finish has a mild ginger bite followed by some roasted chocolate malt aftertaste.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark chestnut with a big tan head that settles to a persistant ring and leaves great lacing. Aroma is predominately ginger with some cocoa and a slight savoriness as it warms. The ginger is slightly forward in the taste also but combines well with the light chocolate flavor. A moderate roast flavor and bitterness as well as some earthiness. Finishes semi dry with some lingering light ginger and tasty bitter. Mouthfeel is almost slick with medium body and carbonation. A straightforward ginger spiced stout thatís not very complex but has clean flavors that arenít harsh.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
It has a strong ginger aroma at first. As it warms up the true flavor emerge, as any real beería flavored should. Warm and sharp with a little nuttiness thrown in. A great after dinner drink!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle:   Lots of sage and clove in this stout.   Very dark brown, thin head and lacing.   Big herbal spiciness, fairly sweet, unique, and interesting.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Clean towards the back, lingering roasted malts, sage, clove, and just general herbal notes.   This one was a bit different, but quite a bit welcomed!   Thanks Bob!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured garnety-brown with a short-lived beige head. The aroma picked up a bunch of spices I couldnít place along with vanilla, cocoa, and licorice.. interesting. The flavor found the same rich spice paste throughout, with vanilla and cocoa support.. licorice and somewhat bitter spices on the acidity finish. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate.. the spices got in the way a bit, but it was still aiight. And.. upon further review.. it was definitely ginger.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - Pretty dark black pour with a filmy light tan head. Nose is gingerbread, ash, light sweetness. Not terribly pungent. Taste is Taste is really heavy on the ginger, with some light florals/perfume, medium roast dark malt, and a lightly milky, chocolatey finish. Hint of molasses. Medium-thin with medium carbonation. If they dialed back the ginger on this I think Iíd like it quite a bit, but as it is itís a ginger bomb.

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Well, Iíve liked everything from 3 Sheeps that I have tried, except this. This was my first and probably last ginger flavored beer Iíll try. I actually had a four pack, first time poured it into a glass, and that was just too hard to drink. Not a fan of the overpowering ginger. Drank the rest right out of the bottle to minimize the smell. For some reason, it just reminded me of eating sushi.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle. I bet Dr. Frankenstein had some regrets. Some tastes donít blend together so well and I think ginger+stout is an especially awkward couple. I was willing to give it a shot because Iíve never seen it before, and now that Iíve tried it, I may not do it again. Ginger and lavender aroma, reminiscent of hand lotion. Dark brown-black and medium consistency, pretty typical for a lighter sweet stout without any foam. Tastes pretty intense, unusual, medicinal, and gingered. It stained my senses for a little bit. If you really like ginger, give this one a shot. Otherwise, I know Iíll take a pass on it in the future.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
335ml bottle. Dark brown/black pour, tan foamy head. Smell is huge on ginger, with some soy sauce, japanese food in general. Flavor is heavy on the ginger, cocoa and stout underneath but how a gingery beer. Unfortunately I hate ginger in larger quantities.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at The Chicago Beer Festival 2014. Black with a small khaki head. Aroma of ginger snaps, roasted barley, cocoa, and herbs. Flavor is similar with a sweet and spicy finish. Not a big fan of this, very heavy on the ginger and herbs in the body.

Black pour from draft. Spicey cinnamon and vanilla flavors. Sheffields had it. Very good. Maybe a little to sweet
