3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: fruity with a little dank-ness; Appearance: hazy, dark golden pour with white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: light and pleasant with typical sweetness and yeastiness of a saison without the sourness; kind of like a Belgian ale; Palate: great finish that lingers; Overall: very solid, non-crazy saison; would be good for introducing someone to the style.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Meh. An ok saison with peppercorn prominent. I like that, but pretty standard and a little gassy otherwise. Plus, it was a 750. Prefer the tallboy cans.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Somewhat cloudy copper beer with a billowing off white head that sets up in peaks. Pungent nose of lemon, coriander and funky-sour yeast. Flavor loses the funk, but retains most of the sourness with bitter lemon and rice vinegar followed by a mild bitterness with slight peppery notes tingling the palate. Good beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a foamy one inch white head that left some source lacing. The nose is kinda weird, there’s a bit of spice with some yeastiness, but also an odd bubblegum like note that seems out of place. The flavor is not very peppercorn-centric, in fact I might not guess that there were any in here even. A little yeastiness and some bready notes on the finish. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Ok beer I suppose, but not up my alley for the style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Logan Tavern Washington DC. Pours a nearly clear gold with almost no head. Aromas are typical of a Belgian wheat (clove/banana). Tastes are essentially the same. Medium body and carbonation, short to medium clove finish. Not what I was expecting but a pleasant beer more in the style of a Belgian Wit than a saison.
