750ml bottle shared in Belgrade. Hazy yellow, big white head. Some funk, very yeasty body. Cidery, champagny yeast. Bright, balanced tart-bitter finish. Round flavor, dry finish. Citrus up front but I wish it was more juicy.

Bottled@PBF IX. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mild glue, alcohol, sweet malts and some nectar. Flavour is sweet fruits witth a nice maltiness to it. Not overly sweet, and hence a quite refreshing brew. Tasty.

lusikka (6570) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 28, 2014
750 ml bottle @ PBF iX. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of weed, grassy hops and some biscuit. Flavour of pale malts, some apricot, tart chewy citrus, herbal notes and some caramel. Alcohol comes through. Medium bodied and a bit foamy mouthfeel. Dry warming finish. Not that fresh, but still decent.

Aroma has fruity tones with yeast and apricot. Flavour has strong apricot tones and stinging alcohol. Also some fruit juice. Way too boozy.

Hazy golden coloured body with a rich orange tint and a nice copper highlight, all with a single centimetre tall plain white head. Aroma of yeast, metal, earth, hops, grapes, honey and a little bit of rice and grain - not so great. Medium-bodied; Assertive malty and metallic flavour at first with a deep bitterness and a lot of alcohol notes, similar to a european strong lager or a imperial pils and less of an ale at all. Aftertaste shows some earth, metal, bitterness, alcohol and some lighter, more herbal flavours of grass, hay and light spices. Overall, a decent beer, if that, but more of a pale lager with a lot of alcohol and a bitter finish...that shows more than any belgian strong ale (currently classified as). I sampled this 75 cL bottle (with it’s own corkscrew (a real screw) purchased from La Rinascente in Milan, Italy on 17-February-2014 for €9,90 sampled at home on this side of the Atlantic in Washington on 17-June-2014 two days before leaving abroad again.

Amber malts, medium body. White sugar, simple malts. Grainy, too sweet. Cloying aftertaste even. Not very interesting of well developed. The Belgian do this better, that’s for sure. (On tap at the Paris International Beer Celebration festival during the 1FRBG)

On tap @Paris International Celebration, 1rst FRBG. An copper beer with good head. Nose is intense on belgian yeast. Aroma is on the same, dry and astringent, lemony, bit amateurish triple beer.

Kosmokrator (517) - ITALY - MAY 7, 2014
