pastymc (16) - Niscemi, ITALY - DEC 2, 2014
Carbonazione vivace e poco corpo. Apre discretamente ma si perde immediatamente. Poca struttura e carattere

Bottle. Pours hazy traw coloured with a big white creamy head. Aroma is malty, fresh fruity malts, inviting. Taste is belgian, light sweet spicy malts, with a nice fruity and spicy finish.

Bottle. Hop-forward and even though it’s not a fresh bottle it doesn’t taste at all stale. Surprised at the low ratings here, I think this is pretty good Tastes like a good hoppy lager even though it’s an ale. Pours hazy gold, nice hop aroma and flavor. Getting something like honey too Bet it’s even better fresh.

75cl bottle Expensive!!! Pale golden, white foam. Nose of hops, some grains, simple. Too carbonated. Bitter taste, some grains, some cara malt, simple, easy. Like a flat tripel...for this price.

Hazy blonde, thin bubbly head. Fruity, fresh aroma with calamansi, lemon zest and a bit of musty yeastiness. Opens with an Aperol-esque bitterness, followed by brisk carbonation that brings yeastiness with it and a pale malt sweetness. Refreshing, a little bit like English golden bitter, but at APA strength.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig süß, leicht würzig. Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig.

Old review from ’09. Thanks to Roman70 for sharing this brew This bottle has a year on it. Appears pale orangish/yellow. The first pour (My pour) was clear with a thick bone white head that falls slowly. The smell is Floral/ fruity hops, a little funk The taste - Light hops tingly light fruit flavors. A little musty tasting as well - maybe the age. Light body with active carbonation . A decent beer that I would think would taste better when fresh. Next time.

Refreshing pale ale. Beautiful light straw colour. We had this with gourmet pizza and it was a good match.

Poor is straw yellow with a loose bubble head that sticks round pleasantly. Has a pleasant bitterness with a subtle belgium yeast flavour coming through in the background. Reminded me a lot of a duvel with a bigger bitterness and more flavour from the yeast. For a 8% beverage the alcohol didn’t come through at all. Was a brilliant beer to have with the spicy salami pizza at the time. 1st beer I’ve had served in a wine glass.

From a corked (plastic) and capped 75cl bottle with a BB date of 30/1/14.. Erupting foam from the bottle on opening that settles to a large dense white head above a pale yellow cloudy body. I get tangerines and pineapples plus mild herbs on the nose on top of a sweet grainy malt base. Flavours are similar to the nose with a moderately dry hop bitterness. Rather thin and watery mouthfeel for the ABV with a light-medium body. A sessionable and fruity pale ale but nothing outstanding.
