Regalo natalizio di Gian, non mi è dispiaciuta, altrove la considerano una APA, in realtà il fruttato sembra provenire dal lievito, ed è discretamente bilanciata con l’amaro.

Sampled at Mechazilla’s epic insanity tasting session. Gentle tropical fruitiness, mildly bready, a bit thin on the body, light bitter finish. Not bad but maybe a bit too sessionable.

Bottle; pours a cloudy straw color with a white head; malty aroma with some lemon and floral notes; taste is lightly bitter with citrus, malt, and caramel; finish is dry and lightly bitter; okay beer

Mechzilla tasting. Thanks for sharing the bottle Juan. Soft grape and pineapple notes on the nose. A bit of grass in there as well. Good carbonation with a light body. Easy drinking but a bit simple. Not bad.

Profumo intrigante di erba e agrumi, schiuma pannosa ma tenace. Delicata con amaro protagonista ma non aggressivo, che cresce pian piano fino a lasciare una sensazione gradevole e pulita in bocca. Retrogusto luppolato morbido e persistente.

Corpo leggero, mediamente carbonata.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2015 Showcase an innovative interpretation of bitter, not violent and brutal as too often, but appears elegant and playful. We had it with aged soft cheeses and San Daniele ham... and was NIRVANA.

750ml crown-capped bottle with plastic-cork (!) come with a free screwed pin bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

(P.S. Do not use that useless screw-pin that comes with the bottle, as you will have no chance to pull out that tough plastic cork. Use a proper cork screw for wine instead!)

Translucent light golden honey colour with a ring of dirt-like yeast sediments; Explosive four finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Beautiful sticky lacing with active carbonation; Very fragrant aroma of full malt, with pineapples, vanilla, peaches, apricots, caramel, banana, honey, sugar, thick bread, strong Bel yeast, lemon and moderate grassy hops; Mid to light sweet taste of Pils malt, with caramel, grapefruits, strong molasses, strong Bel yeast, strong lemon, strong bitter hops and strong grass; Close to medium body. Slick and smooth palate; Mouth feel is solid Pilsener malt - wholesome, quite creamy and bready. Good caramel throughout, with long grapefruit and bitter hops to balance the strong molasses. Yeasty and lemony, more of a IPL and than Belgian Ale. Cool!... Hoppiness is fragrant pineapples, peaches, apricots, lemon and grass in nose; grapefruit, strong lemon and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is strong for a lasting, Close to high astringent sweet malty finish; Quite dry after taste. Smooth and very hoppy to mouth.

Comments: As Belgian Ale, this one is interesting as well as solid - good Pils malt base with fragrant Pineapple and caramel characters, and very strong grapefruit / citrus hoppiness. This is pricey stuff (US$15 apiece) and it would be nice to release a 330ml bottle for session instead. Still, a very solid Italian take on Belgian Blonde, with very hoppy twist. Worth the money!
