Golden color, small head. Very nice malt and cereals aroma, deep, sweetish medium body, with good malt flavor and very strong biterness, light residual sweetness that balances well. Very good.

2008-12-24, batch 20, about 2 years old, 7-4-7-4-14=36
Hazy deep blond color; big frothy head. Nice Belgian aroma. It has a strong, dry malt flavor, spicy (coriander), with strong bitterness, light bitter oranges and pine needles, some Belgian yeast character too. Probably with the age it loses the freshness (it’s the same batch as my first tasting) and the bitterness is more evident.

2008-05-30, blind tasting at Yespr’s, 6-3-4-2-9=24
Cloudy deep blond color; big head. It has some hoppy aroma. It has a dryish mouthfeel, with some malt and strong bitterness, reminding me too much the Pilsners brewed with kits (malt extracts and possibly powedered hop); and there is too much yeast; the final therefore, between yeast and bitterness, is unpleasant.

2007-03-23, bottle at Salone Della Birra Artigianale e di Qualità, Milan, 8-5-8-5-17=43
Not an IPA, but a Belgian Ale, with hops from Poperinge

Cloudy golden color; creamy head. Delicate aroma, fruity, pears, orange, flowers. Even if the alcohol rate is low, it has a good malt flavor, lasting, with an interesting hopping, and still some sweetness till the end. Excellent!

My favorite beer at the Beerfest and the biggest surprise; brewed with the perfect Belgian art, a masterpiece from the West Flanders. And it’s a real pleasure talking to the brewmaster!

[bottle] Orange body, generous off-white head. Strong herbal and floral aroma. Fruity notes with some tarty apple and white grapes. Good maltiness and full bodied, long finish. Rather heavy yeast deposit in the bottom of the bottle. Sugar is indicated as an ingredient - maybe in order to achieve a better balance. Anyway, this is a great hopped ale and the best Italian brew I’ve come across in a while.

75 cl bottle from Takashimaya in Kyoto. Expensive stuff. Tangy hop nose, lots of citrus and grass, light malt, some minerals and sulfur. Very lemony and slightly peppery. Nice. Cloudy gold, almost pastel, with a thin lacy head. Very lemony flavor, sweet and tart and bitter. Like a lemon-and-hop gelato! With passion fruit, grapefruit (actually, more like Japanese buntan), grass, very bitter finish. Very interesting stuff. New wave hoppy Belgian blonde from Italia? I love it. Huge bitter finish. Fun and original.

.75-liter bottle from A Tutta Birra, Milan. Light in body, long-lasting loose white head, wonderful spicy notes of clove and cinnamon under a fruity sweetness. (Below, barnyard and porcini scents.) Candied oranges, green grapes. Almost tarry in its aromatic depth, with a nicely bitter, generously hoppy finish. Cleansing sourness with a note of orange pekoe tea. A surprise stunner.

On bottle 75cl, a very good beer. A little bit bitter and hoppy it has a flat head and a brown colour. Sedimentation is present at the bottom. Very easy to drink and well balanced. Very good job. Just one disappointing thing: the choice of using that kind of silicon top is absurd. It crumbled very soon using a classic corkscrew. I had to use pliers to pull it out!!! Furthermore, I never need to close again the bottle because I always finish it in one time. It’s not a 9L bottle!

750 ml bottle. An unclear orange beer with a huge, creamy and persistent white head. The aroma is nice, not extremely powerful, with herbal and flowery notes from the hops and some fruitiness. The flavour is hoppy, but well balanced by some sweetness. Again herbal, flowery and fruity notes (pineapple, and citric fruits). Medium body, lively carbonation, dry long finish with medium to high bitterness.

Bottle, kindly shared by larsga. It pours a golden-orange, hazy body, topped by a big, white head. The aroma has a nice, dominant pale-maltyness, as well as a fruityness and some spicyness. The flavor is sure of the Belgian Ale-style, balancing malty sweetness and fruityness, and adding a spicy and yeasty touch. Full-bodied, and a long, spiced, pale-malty finish. Sure drinkable and enjoyable. (080216)

Bottle. Vibrant pale orangey beer with a lightly yeasty aroma, and a yeasty and lightly dry flavour. Overall an average yeasty beer.

courtesy of fiulijn - cloudy copper-orange colour with a robust foamy white head; aroma of blood oranges and apples; nervous carbonation and a good malt body; some tart bitterness and a fruity and hoppy finish with residual sugars - good though not easy to drink
