2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle in a Manhattan Chinatown Vietnamese Restaurant, since they were out of the Saigon. Not bad. This was a perfectly fine beer in the context, cheap, not disgusting. Very sweet, syrupy light lager. Clear and good. Doesn’t get in the way of food. Could use nicer ingredients though. Still, it is what it is and that ain’t bad.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle purchased in the dollar bin at Cork and Barrel South in Lawrence, Kansas. The pour is a clear golden with no visible carbonation. The white head is frothy, and falls noisily. The aroma is sweet malt, hay, and a soft floral element. The taste is the malt sweetness, herbal, and then the floral character, which is a bit synthetic in the taste (aroma was more natural). The palate is light to medium bodied, low carbonation level, and the floral sweet finish. Not terrible, but not real memorable either.
