We organized a very interesting tasting of Lagers (basic to average quality): 16 different beers from different countries. Price range: from EUR 0.3/bt (supermarket) to EUR 3.5/bt (take-away at sushi bar). All beers have been blind-tasted; we were 4 people, great beer lovers and wanted to know If there is a difference between all these basics summer beers. Answer: no, all were more our less watery, the worst one was bad water. 33 export was among the worst beers. Maybe in the top 3 worst beers on earth ! ! ! Botlle. Like a typical macro brewed lager... no taste at all. I don’t recommend it

Vietnam Version: labeled as 4.5% Pours slightly brassy, clear gold with foamy white head. Scent is grain.....curiously, also a hint of Sprite (?) Taste is bready, watery. Weak, but not completely awful...amazingly.

500mL can from a grocery store in Aubigny-en-Artois, France. I wanted to try this as it seems to be the local swill everyone drinks and leaves the bottles laying around town. Pours a nice gold with a large white head, and only the most faint of aroma’s, somewhat sharp I guess, if there were more of it. Flavour is also virtually non-existent, with an impressive smoothness to it. No significant off-flavours. Wow, trust the French to achieve what every macro brewer in North America wants to produce but can’t, a virtually odourless, flavourless, smooth alcohol delivery system. Glad to have tried it, but wouldn’t bother with again, although it’s cheap as hell (60-80 Euro cents), so it’s worth trying if you’re in the area.

Viet Nam version - pours a clear pale gold with a minimal white head, very bubbly. Smells are very muted - bread/toast. Taste is mildly sweet, but no real presence of much flavor, no discernible hops or malt in flavor. More like drinking a seltzer.
