This is one monster of a Brown Ale! We used an obnoxious amount of chocolate malt and roasted barley to give this beer a cast iron backbone. Our Oatmeal Brown pours a dark mahogany with aromas of dark chocolate and coffee.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered brown-burgundy body. Thin beige head. Quite sweet, the oats really give it a nice body. Solid example of the style, well brewed. Sweet caramel and chocolate...faint vanilla, roasted peanut. Comes together quite well. Good stuff.

Not good like I expected. Too light on flavor. Scent is great but the taste is low. Bottle

Chopped chocolate and hefty malt nose. A hint of spice and burnt caramel. First sip is smooth and velvety. Chocolate, roasted almond. Sweet finish that lingers. A delicious beer!

Reddish-brown pour with a light brown head. Aroma is oatmeal, chocolate, very inviting. Taste is oatmeal, roasted malt, chocolate, little creamy dry at the end. Omg tasty! Very cool cans and 4 Hands logo. So-so lacing.

Shared 12 oz. can poured to snifters, showing a clear, mahogany brown color, with a presentable layer of brownish tan head foam, and spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was roasted, with mocha notes, and caramel & toffee sweetness. A little less than medium bodied, with soft carbonation, the taste added just a hint of smoke/char, and moderate, earthy bitterness that partnered with some dryness for the finish. Decent basic flavor notes similar to the aroma’s, maybe a bit light in texture, but then, it’s a Brown Ale, not a Stout.

1/25/15. On tap at the brewpub. Brown pour with a nice tan head, good lacing. Nice aroma, nutty, chocolate, a bit of caramel and husk. Great flavor, smooth, caramel, chocolate, nutty. Tasty stuff!

12 oz can purchased at Lukas Liquors in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is a dark brown, hazed, with an off white head that was fizzy and falls quick. The aroma is roasted malt, nutty, some softly sweet cracker and the oatmeal that is toasted and clean. The taste is the roast, oatmeal, earthy faint nutty sweet and a gentle mineral in the back. Nice melding of flavors. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation, and a silky finish with the oatmeal. Easy drinking brown, my kind of beer.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish red pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of cocoa, roast, nuts, some slight oaty, cereal notes into a bit of spice, yeast, slight dark fruit as well. Taste was a mix of dark cocoa, roast, coffee, into a bit of earth, spice, slight grass into an oaty, cereal finish.
