Slightly sour but probably just artifact from being outside at Mactoberfest and trying so many beers despite rinses in between most tastings. Great thick body and full flavor. Aromas are good- nutty cocoa throughout.

On Draught at the Brewery.
Pours a deep reddish brown with a little head.
The aroma is rich & nutty with some earthiness, some toasty malt. It’s aromatic, malty, and inviting.
The flavor is lots of toady malt and a light vanilla. It’s nicely roasty with a decent level of malt & hop bitterness.
a decent enough brown ale for sure, this is one of those styles that seems to be picking up some steam in recent years.
