3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Canned version. Nose is more bakers chocolate than milk chocolate, with lots of highly roasted old coffee notes. Medium bodied, this is a flavorful English-styled milk stout. Don’t expect a bug Americanized version, but rather a middle oh the road sessionable stout. Some dark molasses flavors add an earthy and smokiness to the flavor that is unusual, but not unpleasant.

This one will probably always be a fave of mine. This is the one that kicked off my tasting habit...I started with this and never stopped. Excellent milk stout for the beginner...the aroma is enough to knock your socks off!

Aroma - nice chocolate and just a little bit of roast
Appearance - very dark brown body and beige head that slowly fades
Taste - is a nice creamy chocolate similar to Hershey’s syrup. Very slight roast some toasted oats too.
Palate - is very creamy and rich. Not too much in the way of alcohol.

Can: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy cocoa/chocolate with barely a hint of roast. It pours a dark brown with some very faint orange highlights. It has a one finger khaki head that fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is a good amount of dotted lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate. The finish has light cocoa with a touch of roast. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.

12oz can. Unfiltered black body below a fluffy beige head. Smooth, sweet. Big cocoa nib flavors. This is quite a solid Chocolate Stout...I don’t know about Export Stout, as it doesn’t have any of the fruity pungency I associate that style with. Medium bodied, very drinkable. Great beer.

The perfect beer. Wish it was more than just seasonal. Surprisingly not overpowering, where you can have more than 1 and not feel like a bloated 5 year old. Good stout taste, clean finish, makes you feel safe.

I wanted stout in a can for some reason. This fit the bill. Beer really is reminiscent of chocolate milk. The lactose is there but it does a nice job of working with the chocolate and never becomes cloyingly sweet. Creamy feel. Pretty yummy over all and I was able to drink 2 of them in a sitting.

Pour is black with a small tan head. Aroma is chocolate then more chocolate. A creamy soft beer that is just like chocolate milk crazy.
