A solid milk stout with a firm emphasis on the cocoa/chocolate notes. Not overly thick in the body - could perhaps have more creaminess on the mouthfeel. Good blend of bitter and sweet - plenty of chocolate on the nose as in the taste.

The head on this beer was insane! It took me about 10 minutes to pour it into a glass - maybe it was me - ha!
It was extremely frothy, and thick. The beer beer poured out to an extremely dark color which barely showed light through. The first sip was a little bitter, then sweet. The chocolate flavor is delicious, and the beer itself is really creamy and comforting. Overall, I’m glad I tried this beer!

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had this at 4 Hands Brewery, straight from the tap in a Nonic Pint Glass.
Aroma: The aroma was right on the money for me. Strong Chocolate Milk notes, comparable to Choklat from Southern Tier. A hint of toasted oats.
Appearance: Dark black with a decent head. Good Lacing. Just a nice beer to look at.
Taste: Chocolate and Lactose at the forefront, just as the name advertises. Toasty and Raisin notes come later. Not as good as other Chocolate Stouts I’ve had, but certainly up there.
Palate: Soapy and Somewhat thick, like Chocolate Milk. Slightly creamy.
Overall: As my first beer from 4hands, I look forward to tasting their other offerings.
