UPDATED: FEB 12, 2014 This beer tasted like Budweiser decided to open a can of bud ice beer and a container of Hershey?s syrup and mix the two in a bucket and then poured the mixture into a french press with decaffeinated coffee.

Bottle. Pours black with fizzy beige head. Aroma is chocolate, malt, raisin, fig. Taste is sweet chocolate and tons of malt, some roasty notes. You get the milky texture and flavors. Very good.

Pours thick dark unclear blackish in color as described. Aroma brings some chocolate wafer cookie notes like in other chocolate beers I have had; and some smokey nutty malts. Body is creamy, but smooth and lighter in a goody way. There is some small bitter roasted malts that blend in well also.

1/8/2014. 22 oz. bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Chocolate, vanilla and roasted malt aromas. Creamy mouthfeel with vanilla, chocolate and a bit of bitter hops at the end. Quite good.

22 oz bottled received from my in-laws as a Christmas gift. The pour is a clear dark brown with a well formed tan head. Nice lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is chocolate, cocoa powder, sweet malt along with a bit of roast. The taste is semi-sweet cocoa, nice gentle caramel roast malt, and finishes with more of the soft cocoa. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, finish is the cocoa sweet and a bit of lingering bitterness. Nice execution of the concept, a much appreciated gift.

Deep black pour with a frothy, light tan head. The aroma reminds me of nesquick along with some darker chocolate. It has a medium body with average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a dry, roasted finish.

Pours a solid black with a short tan head and some lacing. The aroma is like milk chocolate and some dark malt. The flavor is cocoa and dark malt with a bitter, dark chocolate finish over a smooth mouthfeel and a medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear brown with minimal head and lacing. Aroma has light coffee, lactose and cocoa. Taste of brewed coffee with cream from lactose, roasted flavor with mild bitterness and a little cocoa. Finishes with mild bitterness and light taste of lactose. Mouthfeel was watery with a light body with a medium high crisp carbonation. I'm not a fan of the lactose flavor which reminds me of soured milk in this beer. Mouthfeel was too light and carbonation was too high with not enough chocolate flavor.

Bottle... Dark brown pour with a small, creamy, lightly-tanned head. Decent retention. The aroma furnishes a malty swirl of milk chocolate and toasted macadamia nuts. Medium to full-bodied with tingly carbonation. Nice, roasty, bittersweet flavor followed by a bitter, dark-chocolate finish. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2014 Pours dark with a khaki head. Notes of chocolate and malt. First taste is sweet then coffee bitterness. Has a nice dark chocolate bitterness on the back end. Has some sweetness up front but finishes nice and strong. Great beer.
