Poors very black with a unstable head. Smells of caramel, cocoa and chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate with lots Of cocoa. Nice bitterness in the end. Interesting.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown, almost black, body with a small fizzy light brown head. The nose is intensely chocolaty and sweet, this might be the heaviest beer Iíve had as far as the chocolate goes. The sweet milk chocolate works perfectly with the light lactose sweetness and the gentle roastiness. The flavor is a bit thin perhaps, but itís pretty decent. Not quite as decadent on the chocolate as I was hoping for based on the aroma, but thereís a decent cocoa note there. The slight lactose sweetness works well through, especially on the finish where it mixes with the roasted malt. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a lingering finish. Pretty decent stuff. I could go for a touch more body, but otherwise, itís enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours deep ruby black with a medium creamy brown head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is lactose sugars, roasted malts, cofee, cocoa. Flavor is cocoa - a bit artificial tasting, roasty, lactose. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, lingering bitterness. Good.

Kind of like a dessert. Aromas of chocolate and roasted malts. Dark chocolate color and creamy looking. Smooth and feels like a sweet stout. Flavors of chocolate and dark malts with not much sweetness. Balancing hops helped even it out. OK but a little light.

Dark pour with creamy head. Sweet aroma. Sweet velvety taste with a hint of chocolate. Not overpowering. Smooth finish. Light feel for a stout. Quite tasty.

Bottle. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet chocolate upfront, lighter roasted malts, and moderate sweetness in the finish. Not overdone. The end.

Bottle shared at the 11k/7k/5k. Kind of a no surprises beer. Aroma is chocolate milk and roasted malt. Pours black with a white medium thick head. Taste is cocoa, milk chocolate, slight espresso and a light malty finish. Marshmallowy mouthfeel and not overwhelmingly sweet.

Bottle. Took about 30 minutes to get half a glass to pour that wasnít just straight foam. Eventually settled to a watery dark brown. Aroma and taste? Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. Not chocolate milk. Not milk chocolate. Bittersweet baking chocolate. No balance. Like chewing a handful of chocolate chips.

22 oz. bottle. It pours a very dark brown color with a nice tan head. The aroma is intensely chocolaty with lactose and hints of vanilla. Roasted malt is fairly strong in the background. Smells dessert-like and delicious. The flavor is creamy and chocolaty with lots of strong, dirty roasted malt and hints of menthol, floral hops. Mild acidity and more chocolate and ashy roast in the finish. I love this beer since it delivers on everything it advertises from the label to the nameÖ no off flavors and supremely satisfying.

This one actually smells like milk chocolate, with lactose sweetness and malt. Pours dark brown with a giant tan head that leaves lacing and recedes to huge bubbles. Taste is pretty weak at first, with a surge of chocolate and malt, then giving way to a watery finish. Think yoo-hoo. Palate is virtually non-existent. I was disappointed with this one. I really wanted to like it because Iím from STL and always trying to support our microbreweries.
