Tap @ 4 Hands Anniversary Party. Pours a black appearance with a creamy tan head. Very rich chocolate bar, sweet malty, slightly milky, light coffee aroma. Creamy, rich chocolate flavor thatís very easy to drink. I wish I had more time to get a couple more.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar. Brownish-black pour with a medium creamy beige head that diminishes quickly to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of milk chocolate, sweet malt and a bit of brown sugar. The finish is sweet with a lingering cocoa aftertaste. Above average overall.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle via local STL trade. Pours a clear brown with amber highlights and a small beige head after gushing slightly upon initially opening it. The aroma is very milky and creamy, too much so for me. But the flavor is really nice and chocolaty, with milk chocolate and cocoa nibs, nuts, brown sugar, toast, and earth. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a chocolaty, smooth mouthfeel.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber - thanks Folty! Coffee on the nose, palate could be a bit more dense. Chocolate comes out in the taste. Solid.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had this at 4 Hands. This was full of chocolate in both the aroma and flavor. It was not as "milky" as expected and was thinner. Some hops brought mild bitterness and some fruitiness. Roast begins the flavor and does not detract from the chocolate. This was quite nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle, shared by phaleslu. Dark brown color, clear still. Good thin light brown head. Some loose bits of lace, cocoa nibs in the nose, some bitter hops. Nice sweet taste, light bitter. Good chocolate milk to the flavor. Easy to drink, just the right amount of sweet. Medium body. Lighter, crisp carbonation. Light chewiness. Nice, kind of refreshing, easy drinking chocolate milk stout.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle shared by phaleslu (06/2013). Pours a cola brown color with a large fluffy beige head. The aroma and flavor have moderate roasted malt, big milk chocolate, lactose, brown sugar with light bitterness to the finish. Hints of vanilla; tasty, but lighter bodied.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours very dark brown with a tan head. The aroma has very creamy chocolate, cream, spice, smooth roast and is very lush and rich - the aroma lives up to the name. It has a medium body thatís a bit crisp and sharp with prickly carbonation. I expected this to be more lush and smooth from the aroma. The flavor starts with cocoa, roast, some bitterness, mild creaminess, but much drier than the aroma. The finish has tree bark, earthiness and dry cocoa. It is quite nice and very chocolaty, but more dark chocolate and drier than expected. More to my taste that a sweet rich milk chocolate anyway.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This was from oa 22 oz bottle courtesy of my St. Louis area trading partner Strykzone. Poured a dark brown, with and huge tan head and good lacing. The nose if roasted malts but mostly it is chocolate. The body is medium and the mouthfeel is carbonated and smooth. Flavor is very rich in the chocolate. The finish shows some roasted malt but the chocolate continues to dominate. Very well done and great drinking.
