COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Contact High is a hoppy wheat ale we dry hopped with blood orange zest. Contact high pours a bright orange hue with a big citrus aroma. A very refreshing beer!! Think of a beermosa with only beer!

Wow. Normally I have to say that I am not a fan of "zest". When that word shows up on a beer can, I know Iíll be pinching my nose to keep it from stinging and swallowing hard to keep it from biting my throat on the way down. This however, is throwing soft blood orange punches, and every one of them is encased in a massive cloud of spicy, aromatic goodness. The nose is heavy orange, delightful and warm and buoyed by a layer of spruce. It pours gracefully, slick, light-bodied and golden; the head white, soft and a bit dense. -- The first sip is shocking. I had expected to become instantly disappointed in the flavor because of the zest. Instead, Iím pulling it in deeply and savoring the flavors that, I realize, quite mirror the aroma. Lovely! The hops bite my tongue, drying it, leaving a trail of bitter on the length of it; then in comes that orange sweetness, sweeping the bites and soothing the sere. What a fabulous combination! -- The beer is almost gone, it started a cool 43, was perfect at about 50 and the last, deep swallow from my glass registers at 62. The finish is a little long and much too zesty for me. That unfortunate zing I was expecting at the beginning is apparent at the back of my throat if I donít pick up the glass for a few minutes, but while I am drinking the beer, the beer is awesome. This is going to be a personal preference issue, so be aware of that if you want to try this. Itís fun, tasty, different and if you havenít tried it, Iíll recommend you do. This is an awesome brew for a hot summer evening!

Best Hoppy wheat beer I have ever had. Great orange zest flavor that compliments the hop profile of pineapple and mango. No harsh hop bitterness or oniony hop flavors. Just sweet wheat, hop and blood orange goodness!

Can 355ml @ The Pig, Washington, DC
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, citrus, grass and orange peel. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long slightly dry, orange, grassy and citrus finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Can, at the pig, DC. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a small white head. Pineapple and a generic tropical fruity touch. Some reason notes too. Itís soft and medium bodied, quite dry. Peaches, pineapple and a decent bitterness in the flavor, with a medium length finish. A refreshing one, but a tad too focused on fruits I think. 150619

2014 can. Light, clear yellow color with an orange tint, white head. Aroma is really nice, rich citrus and orange. Taste is the orange zest then the pine hops balance it out. Little malt sweetness but don't detect much wheat flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Churchkey for their SAVOR event. Poured a blonde color with a small white head. Aroma was some light wheat notes, citrus hops. Lots of resin. Pretty tasty.

Light but very nice grapefruit aroma with some hay. Blonde pour with some head. Light bitter finish. Soft carbonation. Very smooth and nice for style. Like what a good wheat beer is without all the hops experimentation going on in the style these days. Tap at Churchkey.
