Bottles from Smithís, Caponeís, and Whole Foods Plymouth Meeting. Pours hazy gold with off-white head. Nose is orange zest, wheaty pale malt, hopcitrus. Tastes crisp, hopcitric, complex, with some spice and more citrus in the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can. Very pale, very clear dandelion yellow hue with a sudsy white cap. The aromaís citrus-forward, packed full of tangerine zest and a hint of creamy wheat and dried brioche. Thereís less separation between these notes in the flavor; everything melds into a package of bitter orange peel and crackers. The finish is quite dry, with lingering hop/citrus bite. Compact.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
can shared that poured a hazy yellow color initial aroma was orange, orange peel or zest. any which way it was good. nice wheat backbone and with the orange almost makes it a wit without the spice. but this is a solid summer beer, good flavor and very drinkable.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Lightly hazed, light straw color with a diminished white head. Light wheat, and some catty/tomato scents. Slightly dated can, but really, this went downhill really quickly. Flavors match scents with light fruit and cooked vegetables. Pineapple, unripe citrus, hickory nut hulls, cactus juice, etc. Nope, not getting it.

I should have known better. Can that says best by 11/23/15, but Jakebra wants me to crush it. Well-oxidized, but not as bad as I anticipated. Still get some fruity esters over the cardboard. Drank it quickly.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy yellow-orange with a medium sized head. The aroma is citrusy orange with caramel malt and some spicy, herbal hop notes. The flavor is smooth and a bit sweet upfront, with some nice citrusy orange notes all the way through. Pretty nice.

Can at the booth during Boston Comic Con. Fairly clear gold with a thin white head. Soft resinous hops, a bit of malt behind it, citrus. Medium bodied, fruity and a touch sweet, malt comes through. Malt and resinous hops into the finish, malt and toast, light bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pretty good for a style that can tend towards boring. Aroma of citrus, particularly pineapple and orange. Nice copper and ginger color. Light and crisp palate. Flavors were hints of wheat, citrus hops and a slight harshness from the blood orange. Unique.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy gold appearance with an average size, short lived, white head that left modest lacing. Aroma is packed with citrus, mostly orange, along side pitted fruit. Flavor is vibrant to a point then looses its punch as the wheat and sweet malts dull the taste buds. Some salvation in the aftertaste as herbal, spicy hops show up. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel and a lingering finish.

12 oz can from a friend. Big citrus and orange peel aroma with light bready malts and toasted grains. Zesty and refreshing flavor that adds some grassy, herbal and floral notes. Pretty tasty wheat ale overall.

Wow. Normally I have to say that I am not a fan of "zest". When that word shows up on a beer can, I know Iíll be pinching my nose to keep it from stinging and swallowing hard to keep it from biting my throat on the way down. This however, is throwing soft blood orange punches, and every one of them is encased in a massive cloud of spicy, aromatic goodness. The nose is heavy orange, delightful and warm and buoyed by a layer of spruce. It pours gracefully, slick, light-bodied and golden; the head white, soft and a bit dense. -- The first sip is shocking. I had expected to become instantly disappointed in the flavor because of the zest. Instead, Iím pulling it in deeply and savoring the flavors that, I realize, quite mirror the aroma. Lovely! The hops bite my tongue, drying it, leaving a trail of bitter on the length of it; then in comes that orange sweetness, sweeping the bites and soothing the sere. What a fabulous combination! -- The beer is almost gone, it started a cool 43, was perfect at about 50 and the last, deep swallow from my glass registers at 62. The finish is a little long and much too zesty for me. That unfortunate zing I was expecting at the beginning is apparent at the back of my throat if I donít pick up the glass for a few minutes, but while I am drinking the beer, the beer is awesome. This is going to be a personal preference issue, so be aware of that if you want to try this. Itís fun, tasty, different and if you havenít tried it, Iíll recommend you do. This is an awesome brew for a hot summer evening!
