COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cuvee Ange was inspired by the French Oak wine barrels that once housed all French wine varietals. Fermented with wild yeast and aged in a combination of Cabernet, Merlot, and Grenache barrels with raspberries and blackberries, Cuvee Ange is a fruity, tart, and complex ale. Cuvee Ange pours a bright rose with aromas of fruit, funk, and wood.

sample at EBF, Jea! BACKSTEAB! All jokes aside this is my type of beer. The barrel aging adds a nice light spicey complextiy to the sweetness of the berries. That is all belended together with a great light tartness. Awesome stuff.

Very lightly hazed yellow, white head. Loads of sour berries and some oak. A hint of grapey goodness dances on the tongue, sour but not crazy sour. Really quite a nice sour.

Bottle from a generous trader. Pours gold with white head. Nose and taste of white wine, oak, wild yeast, tart berry, funk and earth. Lighter medium body.

750 ml bottle. Pours an amber color with a medium beige head. Aroma of some nice fruit, raspberry, oak and wood notes. Some barnyard and basement aromas, somewhat dusty, mild citrus, jam, and funk notes. Flavor is medium sweetness with mild tartness, some funk, some otherwise dusty bread notes. Somewhat acidic, nice berry fruitiness and barrel notes. Medium bodied, slick texture, medium carbonation. Finishes with a slick tart saltiness.

On tap at Bangers & Lace. Pours a clear near gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has tart dark berries with a bit of must and a touch of earthiness. Flavor has more berry tartness throughout with a hint of earthiness.

Draft at horse thief hollow. Pours a slight pectin hazed deep gold with a soda foam head. Nose is light Brett, mustiness and raspberry. On tasting light fruity acidity. Jammy raspberry and some dank basement note slow sweetness and earthy. No acetic character. Quite a nice fruit beer with Brett but could use a bit of time.

750ml bottle poured into a tulip. Aroma slightly offensive. Poured a hazy copper color with a foamy white head that dissipated quickly. Flavors of wine barrel, dried apricot, sour, funk. Earthy bitterness on the finish. I like it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Reddish amber color with a skimpy head, and a cedar scented with raspberry aroma. A very unusual beer that I really enjoyed. Has a slight hoppy finish, but not to bitter.

This beer pours a cloudy amber color with a medium white head from the tap, and the aroma blends sour fruit, Belgian yeast, and some other sour element that can really only be described as funk. The taste is a really indulgent yet subtle blend of a a mild sourness and a mild sweetness, which makes a really nice flavor, and the palate combines an average carbonation with a bite, a medium body, a slick texture, and a slick texture.

Pours reddish orange and hazy. Aroma is very fruity and sweet. Is very tart. Almost tastes like wine, which is the point I think. Not what I expected. It’s like a party on your tongue.
