COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cuvee Ange was inspired by the French Oak wine barrels that once housed all French wine varietals. Fermented with wild yeast and aged in a combination of Cabernet, Merlot, and Grenache barrels with raspberries and blackberries, Cuvee Ange is a fruity, tart, and complex ale. Cuvee Ange pours a bright rose with aromas of fruit, funk, and wood.

Bottle:   Dirty caramel, slight pinkish hued when poured, a bit of a rose hued sand colored head, big and dense, with very nice lacing.   Looks fantastic!   Very soft funky aroma, a bit woody, a bit of berry, all somewhat subtle.   Soft tartness up front, a little dry.   Towards the middle the bit of berry comes out but fades quickly.   Backside is a bit shallow, mealy, wheaty like, with faint wood and vinous notes.   Body and mouthfeel are smooth, yet remain moderate.   Clean finish, not really tart or all that dry by this stage.   Everything fades so quickly.   Not a big one for the style, but what I can see is perhaps a beginners example to the style.   Still enjoyable.   Thanks Keir!

It poured a dark reddish color with a small white head. The aroma was of raspberries, blackberries, some oak and a little tartness. The taste was similar to the aroma, with the fruit notes blending together nicely. This was mighty tasty.
