Full pour at the taproom... Pours a slightly hazy orangey bright hue and topped with a creamy white head... Fresh clean citrus rind, orange, and mild yeast notes throughout the nose. Nice and bright. Little bread but very light on the rye throughout... Flavors are more of the same. Bright citrusy orange and grass, slightly phenolic, with some additional spicy rye bread notes. Light to mild pithy bitterness on the backend and finish. Medium bodied with a decent level of carbonation. Really tasty and one of the best beers that I e had all trip.

Bottle-purchased at Friar Tuck Liquors in Fenton, MO April 2013. pours bright hazy orange with a huge soapy white head very pillow-y and whispy at times with tons of lacing. nose is dank, leafy, tea, floral, mostly leafy notes, somewhat astringent and tobbaco at times. flavors are much of the same, with mostly tea-like hop notes with some lite crystal/pale grain malts in there. not very sweet at all, a hop monster for sure. palate is medium with quite a bit of carbonation here. a very solid rye-based ipa, even though the rye is only apparent in the finish I(cracker notes). pretty decent!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 ROGUE (1566) - Newark, Delaware, USA - APR 16, 2013
On tap at Bainbridge Street Barrel House in Philly. Pours a slightly hazy bright orange with a fluffy white head that recedes slowly, and leaves little chunks of lace. The aroma has dry, herbal and resiny hops from the rye, with some juicy, citrus and a touch of caramel. Taste starts with some big bitterness with citrus coating hop juice. Some rye spice mixes in with the hop notes mid palate, followed by some mild bread and caramel. The rye lingers through the finish. Medium body with moderate amount of carbonation.
