This beer brings together two of our favorite ingredients: Hops and Rye - serious hops up front provide a pungent, floral, and citrus character. We use Centennial, Columbus, and Cascades in this hop lovers dream. The rye provides a slightly spicy flavor and a full mouth-feel. Divided Sky pours straw in color with notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and pine. Drink fresh!

A nice spin on a traditional IPA. Good amber color with a head that leaves lacing on the glass. The aroma had a modest hint of hops. The taste is where this beer excels. The rye gives the malts a very sharp taste which is a excellent counter point to the hops. Well done.

On draft. Pretty much everything you want in a rye IPA: Citrusy hops, spicy rye that brings out some sweet, chewy-ness in the hops. Finishes clean as can be. Real winner.

Pours a nice light golden with a nice thin lacing white head. Subtle grapefruit aroma. Rye comes across early in the taste. Great finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rye IPA is one of my favorite styles. I love the taste and the feel you get with these beers. This one is good but not my favorite. It is a good quality beer, but the Hop Rod Rye by Bear Republic is my standard for this style and Divided Sky does not live up to that level of sweet rye taste, creamy feel and hops of a good IPA.

Bomber from strykezone. Thanks! Pours a clear light amber with a large white head, kind of puffy and consisting of large bubbles. Aromas of spicy rye and piney hops. Taste is muddled hops mixed with peanut butter (not infected, just a product of the malt/hop combination I believe). Very nutty. Slightly spicy but ultimately doughy and with that weird peanut aftertaste. Spanish peanuts I believe with the red skins on. Interesting and different. I wonder if this is intentional or just what happened when they threw these ingredients together. Not getting any tangerine or grapefruit as they stated in the description, but it is full of pine and peanuts. Finishes on a lingering peanut note. Interesting.

On tap poured into a sampler glass. The aromas are sweet caramel syrup, light citrus and citrus peel, and a potent floral note. It pours a clear orange yellow with a thick, dense micro bubble ring and leaves an average lace on the glass. The taste is a medium high sweet and medium bitter. The beer has lots of soft carbonation to go with a thin texture. The full body finishes with pine, grass, and citrus peel. Fairly clean aftertaste.

Pours a hazy straw-orange into the glass with a nice foamy head that leaves soap lacing. The nose really shows forth the rye and floral hops. Flavors are grapefruit, light stone fruit citrus; grainy, of thick rye notes, finishing with a peppering spruce-pine bitter. The mouthfeel is dry, lightly active on the palate and medium-light bodied. Spicy and full of rye, this is a nice rye IPA. It’s substantive, full of flavor and easy to drink. Nice job.

Draft in plastic cup at Boathouse in St. Louis. Dark golden with lasting white head. Floral aroma with some citrus. Nice bitter bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
