COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer brings together two of our favorite ingredients: Hops and Rye - serious hops up front provide a pungent, floral, and citrus character. We use Centennial, Columbus, and Cascades in this hop lovers dream. The rye provides a slightly spicy flavor and a full mouth-feel. Divided Sky pours straw in color with notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and pine. Drink fresh!

A nice spin on a traditional IPA. Good amber color with a head that leaves lacing on the glass. The aroma had a modest hint of hops. The taste is where this beer excels. The rye gives the malts a very sharp taste which is a excellent counter point to the hops. Well done.

12 oz bottle. Tasted on 12/10/14. Beer from Royal Liquor Kansas City. Aroma has a great pine & citrus note. Taste has a nice hop bite upfront & finishes with the rye & an almost nutty taste. Overall a nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the 12-oz can this pours a crystal clear pale amber body with a bubbly ecru head. I like the aroma, zesty, peppery, floral, and a soft caramel sweetness. The taste reflects the aroma but is a bit more serious when it comes to hoppy bitterness. The finish is a dry dirty zest bitterness. Nice.

Lots of brewers make hoppy beers and quite a few of them make great hoppy beers. 4 Hands, I think, can be proud to stand out in this crowded field. The nose on this is one is just huge. It smells like pineapple juice and tangerines, very bright and fresh with just a touch of pine around the edges. It’s got a nice orange golden color and a tight-bubbled white head. The rye and relatively mild carbonation give this a full, juicy mouthfeel but it is not all kinds of sweet and syrpy or anything and so remains nice and drinkable, at least for a relatively strong beer. For some reason, I am feeling like the finish here leaves me wanting for a bit of bitterness but that is only one small complain in an otherwise very good beer. The hoppy nose on this really surprised based on the hops used and I would have expected less of a tropical fruit thing and more of a conventional citrus and pine American hop aroma. Definitely, I can recommend this to hop heads of any sort.

Poured from the can into my pint glass, smells sweet and hoppy. Taste starts sweet but becomes spice and hops. Can beer gets the extra point.

Rye punch up front but it seems to be kind of one note when it comes to the hops..whatever blend of hops used doesn’t come across as pine or floral or grapefruit but just a mix. not bad beer at all and easy to drink...just nothing that puts it in front of a lot of others.

Poured a cloudy yellow with frothy white head from draft. Fresh floral and citrus aromas smack you in the nose. Taste includes grapefruit and other citrus flavors with subtle pine undertones. The rye adds a nice peppery finish. Thoroughly enjoy rye IPA’s, drink fresh.

Draft at the brewery during RBSG. From notes. Rye dominates but there are great notes of pine and citrus.

Very tasty rye ipa. I can totally taste some rye in there. Smells pleasant, fresh, hoppy. Taste is delicious floral hops. Well balanced and goes down like a champ. Dankness of hops.

Pours a hazy, yellow color with a low, off white head, low/modest carbonation. Strong fresh hops nose (fresh pellets), mild pine with some citrus, low grassy and lemon flavors coming in later. Some orange citrus comes first with a low/mild pine and a nice light grainy presence at the end. Light rye spice come in late and works nicely with the brew. Body is weak and comes off watery from the strong hops presence. Fizz is slightly sharp with some light alcohol bite. Overall a good flavor, good nose, body is very weak. Good as a whole and the price point is perfect.

Bottle from Diebergs. Not sure what "Divided Sky" means. Maybe it refers to the terrible weather in StL . Smells sickly sweet. Not like an IPA. Clear and copper colored. Tastes really good. Very sweet, but not like iced tea. It’s nice and watery, allowing chugging. This is a fun beer. Reminds me of a slightly watery biere de garde from Carrefour.
