COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer brings together two of our favorite ingredients: Hops and Rye - serious hops up front provide a pungent, floral, and citrus character. We use Centennial, Columbus, and Cascades in this hop lovers dream. The rye provides a slightly spicy flavor and a full mouth-feel. Divided Sky pours straw in color with notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and pine. Drink fresh!

Draft at 4 Hands in a sampler. Pours a clear gold color with a small white head that stays around for a while. Good-looking, but I’m with Vince in that I expected this to have a different color; I guess it leans more IPA than rye overall. The aroma has a good dose of floral hops, rye, sweet malts, and some herbs, as well. Flavor of floral and herbal hops, citrus fruit, sweet and caramel malts, rye, and some other peppery spices. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a floral, resinous mouthfeel. My favorite of the four in the sampler, but my favorite overall from this brewery so far is that Copia Saison they brought to the Fresh Hop Fest. I expect very good things to come if they’ve taken some ordinary styles and done such nice things with them.

Pours a light hazy copper color. Head is big and creamy. Looks like vanilla ice cream. Aroma is citrus hops with hoppy spicy aromas. Taste is citrus and rye well balanced and a medium bitter hop bite. Bigger bodied than I expected, and refreshing. Wasn’t overdone with hops or rye. Very good beer.

Golden, frothy, hoppy. Sweet, citrus tones. Nice and dry without being overpowered by the hoppiness. Nice local brew.

Shared draft at the brewpub. Copper-gold, center of the color palate. Nice hoppy aroma of the American variety -- this would make any westie happy. The beer drinks with a delightful fruity flourish, with citrus being the central character. Finishes with a nice tangy bite. Very acidic, the sting taking over at the end. Very good exemplar of an American Pale Ale, IMHO. (#4504, 2/25/2012)

On tap at the brewery over X-Mas. Pours a reddish-orange with slight brown tint and an off-white head. Sweet candy-like aroma leaves me thinking this may finish high and cloying. Lots of sweet flavor, with nice citrus from the C-hops. Soft bitter finish. Did not get much of the rye on this and did not think the hops and malts balanced perfectly for the style, but still tasty.

Sampler at the brewpub. It poured a nice golden color with a small white head. The aroma was very hoppy with some floral hops. The flavor was resiny, floral hops and some citrus. My favorite of the flight.

Tap at brewpub. Pour is a clear deep golden with a pure white head. Slightly lighter than expected for a rye beer. Aroma is certainly hop dominated with notes of resinous and floral hops. Also a very faintly spicy sweet malt. Flavor is pure resin and floral hops with a hint of citrus in the finish. Also a very lightly sweet and spicy malt backbone. Very good stuff.
