Madagascar is a collaboration with Schnucks Des Peres. This Imperial Milk Stout was aged in bourbon barrels with whole vanilla beans. Madagascar pours a dark black with notes of bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla.

Aroma chocolate, vanilla, woody, bourbon, Appearance black, brown foam, Taste medium sweetness, heavy sweetness, Palate full body, thick feel, Overall this was a great stout that worked so well with the barrel ageing. I would suggest this beer to a friend who likes bourbon and stouts.

Savor 2015. Light bourbon, vanilla, some chocolate. Nice to try an opposite style of Super Flare in a situation like Savor.

Draft at Churchkey for their SAVOR event. Poured a near pitch-black color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel malts, coffee roast, smooth vanilla notes. Pretty tasty, nice light vanilla bourbon barrel notes. Too easy to drink.

Roast and some chocolate. Tick consistency. Black pour with good head. Light bittersweet. Good package. Subtle barrel, which is rare these days. Nice. Tap at Churchkey thanks to Travlr.

Well the hype train was going strong on this one. Too bad it just derailed on me. It’s all vanilla extract. Not even a good vanilla. Harsh fake vanilla. Covers up everything else. Not impressed at all.

Bottle to glass. Thanks JP! Pours a creamy deep brown color with a nice tan head. Aroma is big vanilla, which is even more present in the flavor. So smooth. Definitely a dessert beer. Phenomenal.

Pours a murky dark brown with no head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla and oak. Taste is bourbon with loads of vanilla and chocolate. Great vanilla presence. Really solid.

Poured a dark black color with aromas of vanilla and coffee with some light chocolate. Flavors match the aromas with some nice vanilla and chocolate solid stout overall.
