Pretty nice nose. Smelt like a pumpkin ale. It tasted of spices with nutmeg and allspice. The sweet potatoes actually tasted a little like pumpkin. The spices overpowered a little bit and there was a lingering aftertaste I could not figure out, but did not like. Great idea for something new but it wasn’t my thing.

It poured a deep orange color with a small white head. The aroma was of nutmeg and some cinnamon. The taste was similar to the aroma with a touch of vanilla. The finish was sweet and a little barnyard.

Bottle shared in Vail. Pours a copper color with white head. Sweet potato, oak, spicy, nutmeg, brown sugar, woody flavors. Very cool fall/harvest beer although a little all over the place.

Bottle in Vail, courtesy of jcnielsen. Thanks Jetson! Pours a dark red orange appearance with an off white head. Herbal, spicy nutmeg, allspice, yam, chewy caramel, interesting aroma. Quite spicy, herbal, a bit chewy woody, slightly nutty, toffee, dull vanilla. Kind of all over the place and everything kind of blends together.

Bottle thanks to audiovivid ! I had to get this one for the label... Im usually not a big spiced, gourd based beer but this one was pretty interesting and tasty. Pours a deep raw sienna color with a couple fingers of sticky eggshell foam. On the nose there is a good dose of allspice, with some woody malts and touch of brown sugar. On the palate it starts out pretty clean with a earthy malt body... as the flavors evolve the spice takes hold with warm spice cake notes; gingerbread, vanilla, that appear and slowly fade into a nutty woodsy slightly dry finish. Interesting and a solid autumn offering.

One finger head off white, dark copper color, hazy, pumpkin-ish spice smell, has a pretty light body, it is almost watery. It is a nice fall beer.

Bomber. I have had a couple of these on draft. Clear and fairly dark tea colored. A nice two finger beige head. Some nice Fall spice in the aroma but after the first sip the aroma is nuts. Cinnamon, and nutmeg. Nice complexity in the flavor while maintaining the Fall profile. Vanilla, light bourbon, pumpkin flavor which must be the sweet potatoes, and nuts. Mid way through some hops are tasted and add light bitterness and fruit. This is very close to what I look for in a Fall seasonal. An example of true craftsmanship.

Pour is a dark orange with a white head. Aroma is a nice spice of nutmeg and cinnamon. FLavor is where the vanilla really comes out at first. After the vanilla some more of the spice shows up. Finish is sweet and a little herbal. It’s a soild beer and something different then the usual pumpkin beers.

Pours amber with a bit of hazy and a small beige head. The aroma has a beautiful mix of the spices and vanilla hitting the nose and immediately seems like an autumn beer. There is a bit of a pumpkin ale aspect that’s surely from the sweet potatoes and some smooth amber ale malt - pleasant. It has a medium body that’s a bit tinny and has light sharp carbonation. The taste is more dry and spicy. There is crackery malt and super dry allspice and nutmeg. The vanilla is there, but it doesn’t give the normal smoothing effect - it comes across pretty dry as well. The taste has the amber ale maltiness as well. The finish has a mineral aspect and shows some woodiness as well. Interesting ~ good fall beer.
