Bottle from Wine and cheese place. Nice cherry aroma mixed with a bit of yeast and yeasty spice. The flavor is mostly cherry, but it’s a dry, fermented cherry flavor. Not exactly tart cherry - just not very sweet cherry. Then the saison flavors come into play. Yeasty spice, pepper, lemon rind. I wasn’t sure about this one but did enjoy it thoroughly.

Aromas are dry funk and yeasty gentle spice. Some gentle lemon, pear, and crab apple. Touch of cobwebs, some touches of orange, yogurt and tart cherries. Some gentle spritzy carbonation, funky dryness, fruit elements, dry gentle spice. Middle shows gentle fruit, dry mellow sweetness, soft grains, and a kiss of cherry. Lingering gentle yeast, hops, spice into the back. Mellow yet inviting flavors. Solid. Different than expected

On tap at 4 Hands. This was opaque and a bit red pink. The nose was fruity with sone cherry. Cherry was also tasted but was subtle. Other fruit flavors including passion and citrus. A bit of a citrus hop bite at the finish. Not really much yeast or barnyard effects. It is not really to style but is tasty.

On tap at Local Harvest Café, served in a shaker glass. Paired with a toasted everything bagel and herbed goat-cheese for a heavenly late breakfast. It poured a slightly hazy, light pinkish-orange color with small off-white head and Belgian lace. It had that exquisite earthy, wild, coarse fermented aroma of the best saisons: rising bread dough, fresh husky grains, maybe some marshmallowy pilsner malt and mild wheat, as well as some flowery hops and tart cherries, subdued spicy Belgian yeast phenols: black pepper, clove, bubble-gum. Flavors of white bread, crusts, crackers, slight citrus tang and cherry/plum-skin sourness, perfect balance of bitter and sweet, well-attenuated and "digestive" like a real Belgian. Some raters felt tricked by the prunus name, perhaps expecting something much more cherry-flavored, but I loved it the way it was, reminiscent of a slightly fruitier Belgian wit. Light body with a crisp, dry finish. The smooth but complex flavors, yeast characteristics, and spritzy carbonation gave an overall impression of freshness and life-energy. Delicious, a near-perfect beer. I could drink a lot of these in one sitting, especially during this heat wave.
