Light yellow pour, white head. Flavor is sour but not cray sour. Wheat, light lemony notes, spritzy carbonation. I enjoyed this. I agree with one reviewer that it comes off as a tart saison. But I am ok with that.

From tap. Straw colored beer with lots of bite up front, and a clean finish. Nice palate-cleansing beer.

On tap at the brewery, pours a clear light yellow with a small white head, the aroma reminded me a lot of a funky saison, some barnyard notes with subtle fruit as well, the flavor has a sour bite on the front end with a sweet finish of fruit, man, I could drink this all day since it’s 100 degrees out. Nice.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Strykzone (3813) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2012
On tap at at Bigelo’s. This was hazy yellowish straw and had no head. The nose is lemony, grassy, orange. Those were all tasted along with wheat. It was fairly sour but certainly not over bearing. Per style it was down the middle. A very nice beer.

Very different beer. That being said, it is definitely a style for the summer. Had on tap at Global Brew. Hazy straw color, and very tart taste. Nice head that slowly fades, and a sweet finish, with barely any trace (if any) taste of alcohol.

On tap at Global Brew. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a thin white head that completely disappears in short order. Lemony aroma. Thin pale malt and yeasty flavor that is dominated by a substantial tartness. Interesting, but too tart and flat for my liking.

It poured a hazy yellow color with a small white head. The aroma was of some lemon tartness with a little wheat. The taste was similar to the aroma with lemon and wheat and a decent malt body. A very good Berliner Weisse.

Tap/Growler-brought to Itap Soulard from the head brewer of 4 hands June 2012-pours cloudy yellow almost like lemon juice with a small fizzy white head. nose is big tart lemons citrus orange peal-this is awesome smelling! lots of tart lemons mostly on the nose but the other aspects show up. flavors are sour grains, lemon zest but big grain bill. wow, lots of sourness and very true to style. damn, could be the best beer i have had from this brewery so far. absolutely done true to style. a quenching berliner on a hot STL day!

I now have a new favorite 4 Hands beer. This pours hazy light yellow with a small white head. The aroma has some citric tartness, smooth wheat, some huskiness and a bit of fruit. Medium / light body with a minor amount of carbonation. The flavor begins with smooth wheat, pleasant crisp tartness, citric acid and a bit of spice. The finish is snappy and refreshing with the tart and spicy aspect out front. Very glad to see something of this style done in more of a true fashion and not ’imperialized’ make it to our city that is domestic. Even bigger bonus is that its made right here in St. Louis. Thanks 4 Hands!!!
